76ers Gaming Club Wins The Tipoff Powered by AT&T

76ers GC defeats T-Wolves to claim fourth overall banner and third Tipoff crown

WASHINGTON, D.C. – JUNE 17, 2023 – 76ers GC, the NBA 2K League affiliate of the Philadelphia 76ers, won THE TIPOFF powered by AT&T by defeating T-Wolves Gaming 2-1 (52-70, 89-68, 87-56) in a three-game series on Saturday in Washington, D.C.

76ers GC defeated Gen.G Tigers 2-1 (59-65, 69-61, 64-57) in the semifinals on June 16, after going 2-0 in bracket play against Celtics Crossover Gaming and Magic Gaming.

THE TIPOFF began with three weeks of remote group and bracket play to determine the eight top performing teams who advanced to Washington, D.C. for in-person play.

This latest victory marks the 76ers GC’s fourth BANNER CHAIN SERIES Powered by AT&T trophy (2018, 2019, 2023 THE TIPOFF, 2023 THE TURN), the most in NBA 2K League history.

"I can’t express how proud I am of this team," said 76ers GC Head Coach and General Manager Jeff Terrell. "From start to finish they played with pride and professionalism, leading us back to the top of the league with this latest title."

Danny “DT” Tlais was named THE TIPOFF powered by AT&T tournament MVP, becoming the first power forward in a 5v5 tournament to take home the honor after averaging 14 points, 5.6 rebounds and 2 assists across the Finals. Shooting guard Enrique Xavier Barraza added 23 points and 5 assists.

76ers GC is awarded a cash prize of $100,000 as the tournament champion.
