Philadelphia 76ers Host Jewish Heritage Night, Presented By the Jewish Federation Of Greater Philadelphia, On December 1
JEWISH HERITAGE NIGHT FEATURES THE SINGING OF THE HATIKVAH (ISRAELI NATIONAL ANTHEM) AND RECOGNITION OF LOCAL JEWISH WAR HEROES AT HALFTIME
KOSHER FOOD ON THE CONCOURSE WILL BE PROVIDED BY SIX POINTS CATERING
PHILADELPHIA, PA – NOVEMBER 29, 2014 – The Philadelphia 76ers today announced details for their annual Jewish Heritage Night, presented for the first time by the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia, which takes place on Monday, December 1 when they host the San Antonio Spurs at 7:00 p.m.
The night tips off with members of the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia participating in the game ball presentation. During the first quarter, Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia Chief Executive Officer Naomi Adler and President Bernard Newman will accept the Sixers “Heroes Among Us” award. Proceeds from the 50/50 Raffle, presented by SugarHouse Casino, will benefit the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia.
At halftime, a special rendition of the Hatikvah, the Israeli national anthem, will be sung by Ashley Colabella, and local Jewish war heroes Sol Goldstein, Bernie Lens, Allan Silverberg and Alan Vogenberg of the Fegelston-Young-Feinberg Post 697 of the Jewish War Veterans of the U.S. will be honored at center court for their service.
Throughout the night, fans can enjoy a spread of kosher food available for purchase from Six Points Catering, located on the concourse in the 11th Street Atrium.
