PHILADELPHIA, PA. – OCTOBER 15, 2013 – The Philadelphia 76ers announced today that fans are invited to attend the team’s practice on Saturday, October 19 at the Palestra (235 S. 33rd St., Philadelphia) at 11:00 a.m. in a free, open-to-the-public event. Doors open at 10:00 a.m.

“This season is about building, both on and off the court, and our open practice for the fans of Philadelphia gives those who matter most to us an inside look at our team,” said Sixers CEO Scott O’Neil. “The players are working hard to prepare for opening night on October 30th when the Miami Heat visit the Wells Fargo Center, and this event allows fans to see Coach Brown lead, develop and build the foundation. He has our young team playing hard every possession in a fast-paced, gritty style that Philly will love.”

Before the team’s practice tips off at 11:00 a.m., fans in attendance can see performances from the Sixers Dream Team, presented by Parx Casino® (approximately 10:25 a.m.), and Sixers Flight Squad (approximately 10:45 a.m.). Immediately after practice, select fans will have the opportunity to get autographs from members of the team.
