Over the years, the Phoenix Suns have fielded a several different successful lineups, most notably one that starred Charles Barkley, the acclaimed NBA on TNT analyst and former Philadelphia 76er. Since then, the Sixers have squared off against Suns teams led by Steve Nash, Amar’e Stoudemire, and Shawn Marion. And, more recently, they've taken on Chris Paul and Devin Booker, who led the team to its first Western Conference Championship since the days of Barkley.

The Suns and 76ers play twice this season, once at The Center in South Philly, and again in “The Valley”. In their last regular season meeting with Phoenix, the 76ers were led by a 38-point, 17-rebound performance from NBA MVP finalist Joel Embiid as he took on the Suns' young center DeAndre Ayton in Philadelphia. Danny Green and Furkan Kormaz chimed in with 18 and 12 points, respectively, while Tyrese Maxey and George Hill combined for 25 points off the bench. The teams next meet at The Center on February 8, 2022.
