Come and get fit with the Houston Rockets for our 20th Anniversary Rockets Run presented by Children's Memorial Hermann. Bring out the whole family to run or walk as you cross the actual center court inside Toyota Center.

  • Awards

    What are the age groups you will be awarding for the races?

    We will be awarding all children that participate in the Kids' 1K with a participation medal. In the 5K race we will be awarding 13 different age groups in male and female categories. The various age groups will be awarded at the Post Race Party by the main stage located in Root Memorial Square Park at the basketball court. The awards ceremony will start approximately at 9:30 AM.

    Race results will be posted by 9:15 AM before the awards ceremony. They will also be posted on the Rockets website Rockets.com 24 hours after the race.

    Thirteen age groups will be awarded gold, silver & bronze places in male/female categories:

    Corrections/Switching events?

    Corrections that need to be made to registration or switching events must be made in person at one of the Packet Pick Up dates.

    No changes will be made on race day

  • Kids 1K Race

    Where and when does the Kids 1K start?

    • When: Start Time – 7:45 AM CST
    • Where: Start Line – Located on Bell St. between Toyota Center and the Tundra Garage

    Where does the Kids 1K finish?

    Finish line will be inside Toyota Center on the Houston Rockets center court!

    Where can I meet my child/family after the Kids 1K?

    Make sure you make arrangements to meet your child/family inside Toyota Center at the bottom of section 113 and 114.

    Spectators can make their way inside Toyota Center starting at 7am at the La Branch Street entrance (corner of La Branch and Polk Street).

    All Kids 1K participants receive a medal and entrance into the Post Race Party located at Root Memorial Square Park located across the street from Toyota Center (corner of Clay and La Branch).

  • Packet Pick Up

    Where is Packet Pick Up?

    Packet Pick Up will be available on the following dates/times:

    Saturday, February 12, 2022 from 11:00AM – 7:00 PM – Karbach Brewing Co. at the Biergarten (2032 Karbach St., Houston, TX 77092)
    Tuesday, February 15, 2022 from 8:00AM – 7:00 PM at Toyota Center, located on La Branch and Crawford

    What information do I gather before I go?

    • If you purchased additional tickets need to know the quantity

    At Packet Pick Up you will be able to pick up your bib number, T-shirt and other additional items and information for 20th Annual Rockets Run 2022.

    Can I pick up packets for other people?

    Yes, you may pick up packets for other people. Please make sure you have their first name, last name, age, race they are participating in, T-shirt size, game they selected and if they purchased any additional tickets. This will help speed up the process.

    Large Group Packet Pick Up (8 or more people)

    If you have a large group to pick up for, please email your group list with the above information to rocketsrun@rocketball.com by noon on 2/9/22 for 2/12/22 Packet Pick Up OR by noon on 2/13/22 for 2/15/22 Packet Pick Up. We can have your group available for pick up at Packet Pick Up on Saturday, February 12th or Tuesday, February 15th.

  • Parking

    Where is the best place to park for Rockets Run?

    FREE parking is available in the Toyota Tundra garage. Please enter on the La Branch side closest to the Leeland intersection. The garage will be accessible until 7:45 AM and after this time you will need to pay for street parking. After 7:15 AM the streets around Toyota Center will be closing down due to the Kids' 1K starting at 8:00 AM. Please arrive early to avoid traffic!

  • Pets at Event

    Are pets allowed at the races?

    No, unfortunately. We love our 4-legged friends and let us keep them safe by leaving them at home for this event.

  • Post Race Party

    Located: Root Memorial Square Park (across the street from Toyota Center at Clay and La Branch)

    Time: Starts immediately following the first race (Kids 1K at 8:00AM)

    All participants will enjoy entertainment, food, drink and more!

    9:30AM approximately will be the awards presentation of the top finishers of the Rockets Run 5K.

  • Refunds/Exchanges

    Are there refunds or exchanges?

    There will be no refunds or exchanges for this event.

  • Registration

    All participants MUST have a parent or legal guardian register on behalf of the minor that would like to participate in any of the Rockets races.

    I want to participate with my child in the Kids' 1K. Do I have to register?

    Yes, anyone who wants to participate in the Kids' 1K must register and must have a bib number in order to run with a child down to the finish line. If you are already registered in the 5K or the 2 Mile Walk you will be allowed to participate in the Kids' 1K as long as you wear your proper bib number.

  • Spectator Information

    Will cameras and video cameras be allowed at this event?

    Video cameras and audio recorders are prohibited inside Toyota Center. Cameras will be allowed inside Toyota Center as long as the camera lens does not exceed 4 inches long.

    Where do spectators go to watch participants cross the finish line?

    We encourage all spectators to come early to watch the participants cross the finish line inside Toyota Center. Doors for the finish line viewing will open at 7:00 AM at the La Branch Street entrance (corner of La Branch and Polk Street) for the first race – Kids' 1K.

  • Strollers

    May I bring my stroller to participate in the 5K, 2 Mile Walk and Kids' 1K?

    No, strollers in the 5K race are prohibited. This is for safety reasons for all participating runners. NO strollers will be allowed to cross the finish line and will be asked to re-route to the post race party.

  • Headphones

    Are headphones allowed during the race?

    No, they are not. This is for safety reasons so that all participants can hear the various officials and Houston Police Officers that will be guiding participants along the route.

  • Tickets

    Additional Tickets?

    Each participant entry receives one (1) ticket voucher. Additional tickets are available for purchase starting at $20 each.

    When do I get my tickets for the Rockets game?

    Ticket voucher redemption will start during regular hours at the Toyota Center Box Office after you pick up your packet. See below for additional dates and times:

    • Saturday, February 12, 2022 – Karbach Brewing Co. at the Biergarten (2032 Karbach St., Houston, TX 77092) 11:00AM – 7:00PM
    • Tuesday, February 15, 2022 – Toyota Center Box Office 8:00AM – 7:00PM
    • Race Day – Saturday, February 19, 2022 – Toyota Center Box Office 9:30AM-3:00PM

    Regular Box Office hours of operation:

    • Monday-Friday 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM

    How do I use the ticket voucher?

    The ticket voucher can be redeemed at the Toyota Center Box Office starting on the first day of Packet Pick Up on 2/12/21. You will have your choice of one of the following games that best suits your schedule:

    • Tuesday, March 1st vs. LA Clippers*
    • Sunday, March 6th vs. Memphis*
    • Monday, March 21st vs. Washington*

    Group Seating?

    You can get group seating by redeeming your ticket vouchers at the same time at the Toyota Center Box Office during hours of operation.

    Can I upgrade my tickets to the lower level?

    Yes, absolutely!
