Rockets Injury Updates

HOUSTON - The Rockets announced today that point guard Patrick Beverley will be out for the next 10-14 days with what is being termed as a partial tear of a muscle in his midsection.

That diagnosis obviously rules him out for both tonight's game against Dallas and the team's upcoming road trip that will take the Rockets to Utah, Los Angeles for a date against the Clippers, and Portland.

It also means a return to the starting lineup for Jeremy Lin and an increased role off the bench for Aaron Brooks, who will for now take over the team's backup point guard role.

James Harden, meanwhile, went through this morning's shootaround and will play tonight, despite dealing with the lingering effects of a sore wrist and back.
