HOUSTON -- Former Oregon star Aaron Brooks didn't need long to make his first quick move with the Rockets.

Brooks, who is expected to bring more speed to Houston's roster, signed a multi-year contract with the team on Saturday, agreeing to a deal just over a week after being selected in the NBA Draft.

During his senior season at Oregon, Brooks led the Pac-10 in scoring with 17.7 points per game and was known in the conference for his quickness. The Rockets made him their first round pick because of his ability to score off the dribble.

Brooks will begin preparing for his rookie season this week in Las Vegas during the NBA's Summer League. The Rockets will play five games in the league from July 10-16.
