SIAKAM NAMED EASTERN CONFERENCE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

The National Basketball Association announced Monday that Pascal Siakam has been
named Eastern Conference Player of the Week (Jan. 31 - Feb. 6) for the fourth time in his
career (Nov. 5-11, 2018, Nov. 4-10, 2019, and Dec. 20, 2019 – Jan. 8, 2020).
Siakam led the Raptors to four wins in five days last week, which included victories over
Miami and Chicago. He averaged 24.8 points, 10.5 rebounds, 4.8 assists, 1.8 steals and 40.1
minutes. Siakam shot .493 (34-69) from the field, 50 percent (6-12) from three-point range and
.806 (25-31) at the free throw line. He scored 25+ points in three-of-four games and recorded
two double-doubles.
Siakam started the week with 25 points and six rebounds Monday at Atlanta. He
followed up with 16 points and 14 rebounds the next night at home against the Heat. Siakam
posted his second straight double-double with 25 points, 13 rebounds and seven assists
Thursday night when the Raptors hosted the Bulls. He capped the week with a season hightying 33 points, including 21 in the first quarter, and nine rebounds Friday against the Hawks.
Siakam is averaging 21.4 points, and career highs of 8.6 rebounds and 5.1 assists, in 38
games this season. He is one of just five players in the NBA currently averaging 20.0 points, 8.0
rebounds and 5.0 assists.
