Professional History

Selected by the Suns with the 13th overall pick (first round) in the 2015 NBA Draft… Made professional debut as a member of the Suns Las Vegas Summer League team where he displayed the ability that had most draft pundits considering him the best shooter in this year’s class… Averaged 15.3 points (40.2 FG%, 40.0 3FG%, 87.5 FT%), 4.9 rebounds and 1.7 assists in seven games (five starts) to help the Suns to a 5-2 record and a runner-up finish at NBA Summer League 2015… In the semifinal against New Orleans, scored a game-high 31 points on 10-17 FG and 5-9 3FG… Signed with the Suns on July 13.

College History

Was an early entry candidate for the 2015 NBA Draft after playing one season at the University of Kentucky in 2014-15... Earned SEC Sixth Man of the Year, Second Team All-SEC and All-SEC Freshman Team honors at Kentucky after averaging 10.0 points, 2.0 rebounds, 1.1 assists and 21.5 minutes in 38 games… Displayed his marksmanship, with shooting percentages of 47.0 FG%, 41.1 3FG% and 82.8 FT%... His 41.1 3FG% ranked second-best for a freshman in Kentucky history (min. 100 attempts) and eighth-best overall… Won SEC Freshman of the Week honors a league-high five times including four straight from Jan. 12-Feb. 2… Scored in double figures 20 times, second most on a loaded Kentucky team that had six player drafted in 2015 and started 38-0 to become the first undefeated team to reach the Final Four since UNLV in 1991… Kentucky’s 38 wins tied for the most in NCAA history as the Wildcats also won SEC regular season and tournament titles… Averaged 7.2 points (45.7 FG%) in five NCAA tournament games… Twice recorded his career-high of 19 points, making 5-6 3FG in each performance, vs. UCLA at the United Center on Dec. 20 and UT-Arlington on Nov. 25… Among his teammates during his one season at Kentucky: Karl-Anthony Towns, Willie Cauley-Stein, Trey Lyles, and Andrew and Aaron Harrison… HIGH SCHOOL: After playing his high school freshman season at Grandville H.S. in Michigan, Devin moved to Mississippi where he played his final three high school seasons at Moss Point (Miss.) H.S. where his father (a Moss Point H.S. alum) became an assistant coach following his international playing career… Finished his three-year career as Moss Point’s all-time leading scorer with 2,518 points… Averaged 30.9 points for Moss Point as a senior, earning invitations to the McDonald’s All-American and Jordan Brand Classic all-star games.
