Jabari Ali Parker is the son of Lola and Sonny Parker. He was born in 1995 in the Windy City, Chicago. Parker's father, Sonny, was the 17th pick in the 1976 NBA Draft and played six seasons in The Association. Jabari's mother, Lola, is a native of Tonga who immigrated to the United States when she was three years old. Parker has two older brothers and two older sisters. He also has two uncles who played in the NFL, and his second cousin is PGA Tour pro Tony Finau. Parker attended Simeon Career Academy in Chicago, where he won back-to-back Illinois Mr. Basketball honors, as well as an incredible amount of other accolades. Parker runs the Jabari Parker Foundation, whose charitable contributions include free basketball and life skills camp for kids, as well as food giveaways at Thanksgiving.
