Player Bio

Raul Togni Neto was born in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. He cites his father as the biggest influence in his life. Neto first gained recognition during the 2010 FIBA Americas Under-18 Championship when he led Brazil to a silver medal. He later became the youngest member of the senior Brazil national basketball team during the 2010 FIBA World Championship. In addition to English, Neto speaks fluent Portuguese and Spanish. The 6-foot-1 guard began his professional career with Minas Tenis Clube in the FIBA Americas League. He played for them for three seasons and played on the World Team at the 2010 Nike Hoop Summit. In 2011-12, he signed with Lagun Aro GBC in the Spanish League. Neto appeared in 34 games in his first season and averaged 5.7 points and 2.0 assists in 16.7 minutes. His production improved in the following two seasons with 8.5 points per game in 2012-13 and 9.8 points and 3.3 assists per game in 2013-14. In 2014-15, Neto signed with UCAM Murcia and provided 8.9 points and 3.9 assists in 21.9 minutes per game. The guard also represented Brazil in international competition, including the 2010 FIBA Americas Under-18 Championship, the 2012 Summer Olympics, and the 2013 FIBA AmeriCup. In the 2014 FIBA South American Championship, he scored 21 points against Argentina and the team went on to win the bronze medal. Neto with the 47th overall pick in the 2013 NBA draft by the Atlanta Hawks and was later traded to the Utah Jazz on draft night.
