PROFESSIONAL CAREER

Courtney Lee is a 12-year veteran who holds career averages of 9.6 points, 2.6 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 1.0 steal and 27.1 minutes per game in 811 games (518 starts) with Orlando, New Jersey, Houston, Boston, Memphis, Charlotte, New York and Dallas. He was acquired by the Mavericks in the seven-player trade that brought Kristaps Porzingis, Tim Hardaway Jr. and Trey Burke to Dallas on Jan. 31, 2019.

Lee (6-5, 215) was selected by Orlando in the first round (22nd overall pick) of the 2008 NBA Draft following a standout career at Western Kentucky. He reached the NBA Finals as a rookie with the Magic in 2009. After being acquired by the Mavericks, the journeyman guard has now played for eight teams in 12 years.

BEFORE NBA

During his four seasons at WKU, Lee averaged 17.6 points per game while starting all 127 of his games for the Hilltoppers. He was named First Team All-Sun Belt in each of his final three seasons (2004-05 to 2007-08) and earned 2007-08 Sun Belt Player of the Year honors as a senior. Lee finished his college career tied with Jim McDaniels as the school’s all-time leading scorer (2,238).
