Selected by Atlanta in the first round (20th overall) of the 2021 NBA Draft on July 29, 2021 … Signed to a contract with the Hawks on August 5, 2021… Over the course of his three-year career, has appeared in 148 games (58 starts), owning averages of 9.1 points, 5.4 rebounds and 2.0 assists in 20.6 minutes (.506 FG%, .328 3FG%, .694 FT%) … In the 2023-24 season, Johnson recorded career highs in points (16.0), rebounds (8.7), assists (3.6), steals (1.2), blocks (0.84), minutes (33.7), 3FG% (.355), FT% (.728) and starts (52) … Per Elias Sports, became the first player in the NBA since Zach Randolph (2002-03, 2003-04) to improve scoring by at least 10.0 points and rebounds by at least 4.0 boards from the previous season… In a win over Detroit on 4/3, tallied his first career triple-double with 28 points, 14 rebounds, 11 assists, four steals and one block in 37 minutes of action.
