Frank Mason III, son of Sharon Harrison and Frank Mason II, was born in 1994 in Petersburg, Virginia. One of eight brothers and sisters, he played four years of high school ball at Petersburg High School, before spending one season at Massanutten Military Academy. The 1,901 points Mason scored during his four-year Petersburg career are second only to NBA Hall of Famer Moses Malone in school history. Mason played his collegiate basketball at Kansas, where he was selected the unanimous 2017 National Player of the Year by 10 different entities, including the Wooden, Naismith and NABC. In Sacramento and Milwaukee, he has invested his time and energy into various charitable causes. He also hosts an annual celebrity softball game to raise money for the National Youth Foundation and the Boys and Girls Club of Kansas City.
