Postgame Quotes - November 28, 2014

DETROIT PISTONS HEAD COACH STAN VAN GUNDY: (On the loss): “We were fine starters against starters, but once they went to bench we had no answers. Their bench went 13-22 from three, every one of them were well above what they have been shooting for the year. They’ve been struggling from three, but they lit it up. We had no answer. We couldn’t get back in transition quickly enough to get matched up and they spread us out in the half court. We tried just about everything defensively, none of it worked.”

DETROIT PISTONS GUARD D.J. AUGUSTIN:  (On making adjustments on the fly): “We knew they were going to come in and play hard.  That’s the kind of team that they are.  They run up and down, they play hard.  I think we were ready for that from the beginning but we couldn’t match their energy throughout the game.”

(On team’s slow start to the season): “I think everybody’s trying, everybody’s trying to be together on the same page, but when we get out there things aren’t going that way.  We just have to stay together; it’s rough right now.  The fans, everybody’s looking at us like you guys are losing, but we don’t want to lose.  We want to go out there and win.  We’re trying our best and things will turn around, we just have to stick with it and just keep fighting.”

MILWAUKEE BUCKS HEAD COACH JASON KIDD:  (On victory versus Pistons): "I thought it was a great team effort. All 10 guys found a way to help us win. Drummond had a 20-20 night; we got some breaks. We were turning down shots to get a better shot. We got a lot of great looks; the penetration helped. Getting stops and turning those stops into points really helped. Everybody is going to find a chance to help pitch in. Going into a back-to-back that really shows the maturity of our team. Our guys are playing at a high level."

MILWAUKEE BUCKS FORWARD ERSAN ILYASOVA: (On team strategy versus Pistons): "We tried to go with a small lineup. Everybody made the right decision at the right time. It's all about being unselfish. We just shared the ball. Spreading out the floor, get opportunities and knocking down those open shots - we did a good job of doing those things. Everybody did a good job. We're kind of on a rhythm right now. From this point it's up to us to play the same way tomorrow."

MILWAUKEE BUCKS FORWARD JARED DUDLEY: (On team play versus Pistons): "We crashed the boards. We just hit shots. They didn't really take advantage of the low-post game. Defensively we just got after them. We have to win by hitting shots. Early on I had great looks; even the shots I missed I was wide open - I was mad at myself at those ones. It just seemed like the ball was just moving so fluid. I think the way we played just put them in a bind. I think it was a good test because tomorrow is Houston and Dwight."
