Pelicans Waive Quinn Cook and Axel Toupane

NEW ORLEANS – The New Orleans Pelicans announced today that the team has waived guard Quinn Cook and guard/forward Axel Toupane.

Cook, 6-2, 184, who was signed on March 19 after spending the 2016 training camp with the Pelicans, appeared in nine games last season with New Orleans, averaging 5.8 points and 1.6 assists in 12.3 minutes per game.

Toupane, 6-7, 210, was originally signed by New Orleans on April 10, appearing in two games at the conclusion of the 2016-17 season for the Pelicans, averaging 5.5 points in 20.5 minutes.
