Pelicans’ Teresa Weatherspoon will be among presenters for Swin Cash at Hall of Fame induction

New Orleans Pelicans fans interested in watching next month’s Basketball Hall of Fame induction ceremony will now have even more reason to tune in to the festivities in Springfield, Mass. During one portion of the event, a current New Orleans assistant coach will help induct the Pelicans’ current Vice President of Basketball Operations and Team Development.

The Hall of Fame announced Monday that New Orleans assistant Teresa Weatherspoon will be one of five presenters when Pelicans VP Swin Cash is officially inducted Sept. 10. Weatherspoon and Cash are former NCAA and WNBA standout players who now work in the New Orleans organization. Weatherspoon was inducted by the Basketball Hall of Fame as a player in 2019, delivering one of the hall’s most memorable speeches.

Joining Weatherspoon in presenting for Cash will be four other previous Hall inductees, including Tamika Catchings (Class of 2020), Tina Thompson (2018), Isiah Thomas (2000) and Geno Auriemma (2006).
