Pelicans Acquire Tyshawn Taylor

NEW ORLEANS – New Orleans Pelicans General Manager Dell Demps announced today that the team has completed a trade with the Brooklyn Nets. The Pelicans have acquired Tyshawn Taylor and cash considerations in exchange for the draft rights to Edin Bavcic.

Taylor, a second round pick by the Nets in the 2012 NBA Draft, appeared in 29 games this season for the Nets and averaged 3.9 points, 1.6 assists and 0.5 steals in 11.7 minutes per game. The Kansas product holds career averages of 2.9 points, 0.9 assists and 0.4 steals in 61 career contests.
