Anthony Davis beats Walt Frazier in “Generation Gap” trivia game on Jimmy Kimmel Live!

What happens when you pit a NBA legend against everyone’s favorite power forward in a game of pop culture?

Hilarity ensues.

Anthony Davis and two-time NBA champion Walt Frazier squared off on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” Wednesday night to play Generation Gap NBA edition—Kimmel’s bit that tests two participants from different eras in their knowledge of the other’s time.

Frazier’s suit jacket stole the show initially, but the seven-time All-Star faltered when asked to name Beyoncé’s latest album. He recovered quickly, and grabbed an early lead, after Davis failed to identify former President Jimmy Carter.

But, Davis was just getting warmed up. The former Kentucky star stole Frazier’s question—correctly identifying rapper Jay-Z’s given last name as Carter—after Frazier guessed “Z.” His right answer spawned a Kimmel tease about the NCAA champion completing his college education.

The generation gap was perhaps most obvious when Frazier was asked to complete the expression “Netflix and Chill” and Kimmel instructed Davis to explain the slang term to the former Knick.

The duo swapped questions about martial arts legends, music festivals and more before Davis claimed the victory by identifying the popular social media application Snapchat.
