The Smoothie King Center is home to the New Orleans Pelicans, one of the most exciting NBA teams in the nation. This A-Z guide was developed to provide you with the information you need to have a safe and enjoyable game day experience. If you don’t find what you’re looking for in this guide, you may visit Guest Services booths located by Section 108 on the main concourse or contact a Pelicans ticket representative at (504) 525-4667. ADA Accessibility

The Smoothie King Center meets or exceeds all structural and service requirements as stipulated by the applicable law. All levels have elevator access and ADA seating. Wheelchairs are available for patron use and are accessible from the North & East Ground Level entry points. A valid driver's license is required in exchange for a wheelchair. Wheelchairs are not reserved.

Prior to the game, the patron should call the Pelicans Box Office at 504-593-4700 for proper arrangements. Wheelchair accessible seating, semi-ambulatory seating and removable armrest seating are located in various sections and levels throughout the Smoothie King Center. When requesting tickets, please identify your needs and/or if you need a seating location that is accessible for a standard-sized wheelchair, larger scooter, or other mobility device. Guests purchasing a ticket in a wheelchair/accessible seating location may also purchase three (3) companion seats, subject to availability. One (1) companion seat will be adjacent to the wheelchair seat location. The second and third seats will also be adjacent, subject to availability. Please be advised that if they cannot be adjacent, they will be located in the closest available seating location.

ADA Parking

  • ADA Parking is located in Lot 3 of the Smoothie King Center and on the ground floor of Champions Garage (entrance located on Girod Street under the overhang). Parking is on a first come, first serve basis. To gain access to accessible parking, proper vehicle registration is required as well as a current disabled placard with a matching identification card.

Alcoholic Beverages

Louisiana Law prohibits the sale of alcoholic beverages to persons under the age of 21. Proper identification must be shown to purchase any alcoholic beverage. All alcohol sales stop at the end of the 3rd quarter.

Animals

Animals are prohibited in the Smoothie King Center with the exception of service animals assisting ADA patrons. All service animals outlined by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) are allowed access to the Smoothie King Center. View full list of approved service animals here

ATMs are located within the Smoothie King Center at the following locations:

Baby Changing Stations

Changing stations are available in the restrooms at the following locations:

Bag Policy

Any bag, purse, or briefcase that is larger than 14" x 14" x 6" will not be allowed into the Smoothie King Center. This policy will be strictly enforced, and the Smoothie King Center is unable to store oversized or prohibited items. An exception will be made for declared medically necessary items, after proper inspection.

Beginning Friday, February 19th, additional safety measures will be added to our bag policy at the arena. Per NBA guidelines, all bags will be subject to the screening process through the X-ray machines. The use of X-ray machines will be a contactless step that takes the place of manual bag searches. There will be dedicated entry lines for bags and no bags at each entrance to assist with our entry process.

Prohibited bags include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Backpacks (of any size)
  • Cinch bags
  • Oversized luggage
  • Coolers

Banners/Signs/Flag

Banners/Signs/Flags are generally allowed if they meet the following conditions:

  • They do not exceed 11”x17”
  • They are in good taste.
  • They are not deemed offensive.
  • They do not include profanity.
  • They do not obstruct the view of any guests or any existing Smoothie King Center signage.
  • They do not present a safety hazard.

New Orleans Pelicans and ASM reserve the rights to remove Banners/Signs/Flags at any time. Venue/Signs/Flags of a commercial nature are not permitted without specific permission from Venue Management. Please note these guidelines may change at any time due to event specifics, Show Management requests, etc.

Bike Racks

Bike racks are available for use in Lot 3 on the wall closest to Champions Garage. Patrons can access the bike racks in Lot 3 from the pedestrian gates at the corner of Dave Dixon Drive and Le Rouge Street.

Box Office & Will Call

On Pelicans game days, the Smoothie King Center Box Office and New Orleans Pelicans Will Call will open 1.5 hours prior to tip off through the end of halftime. When visiting Will Call, be sure to have your photo ID and credit card in hand to expedite the process.

The following are new and updated practices Event Operations will implement:

  • Separate queueing lines by 6 feet (every other window open)
  • Implement a Dedicated Will Call line
  • Set up queueing in front of the open windows with ground decals 6 feet apart
  • Create a switchback queueing style or have individual lines in front of each window because it:
    1. Enables the line manager to direct guests to the next available window
    2. Allows for one-way traffic flow
  • Use tens-a-barrier for line queues – for both ingress and egress at each line
  • Establish ingress and egress patterns that afford 6 feet of social distancing while exiting the window after a transaction has taken place.

Cameras and Recording Policies

No video cameras and no professional cameras with lenses longer than 6” are allowed inside the Smoothie King Center. All other cameras are allowed.

Catering and Concessions

All catering is provided exclusively in-house by Centerplate. Outside food and beverages of any kind may not be brought into the Smoothie King Center. The Smoothie King Center offers a wide variety of food and beverage choices. Concession favorites are offered along with a variety of other selections from specialty vendors.

The health and safety of our employees, clients and consumers is Centerplate's utmost priority. The below updates have been made to the concession areas in the Smoothie King Center:

  • Open concession stands will be determined by venue capacity.
  • Every other Point-of-Sale device will be utilized to create social distancing for F&B queuing at open locations, and each device will cleaned frequently.
  • Floor decals will be deployed assisting patrons with proper distancing, as well as additional signage surrounding the concession location.
  • A customer facing barrier will be erected to minimized customer/patron interactions.
  • Portable bars and food openings will be spaced out throughout the concourse areas and will have the same safety measures as the concession stands.

Children’s Ticket Policy

Children two and under do not require a ticket for admission. However, in order for a child to have his or her own seat, a ticket is required.

Club Level

Limited club lounges will be open this upcoming season, but with new social distancing regulations. Please follow all signs and stadium staff guidelines when visiting these spaces:

  • Premium Club areas that serve as a gathering area for premium guests will be activated in conjunction with health, social distancing, and capacity guidelines.
  • Guests will still be required to wear a face covering or mask while in these spaces.
  • There will a designated entry and exit door for all guests.
  • Existing lounge furniture, tables, and chairs will be removed from the clubs.
  • Restrooms will be updated and monitored with best practice cleaning and social distancing guidelines.
  • Awareness and directional signage will be placed strategically at each respective.

Code of Conduct

The National Basketball Association, New Orleans Pelicans, and Smoothie King Center management are committed to creating a safe and enjoyable sports and entertainment experience. We therefore ask you to refrain from any disruptive behavior, such as fighting, throwing objects, attempting to enter the court or interrupt play, or using improper language or gestures. Spectators engaging in such behavior are subject to ejection, arrest, and possible ban from future NBA games. Please report any violations of these rules to the nearest usher, security personnel, or guest services staff member. Thank you and enjoy the game.

Door Openings

Please take note of the designated entry gate listed on your mobile ticket. Entry gates will open to all ticket holders 1 hour prior to tip-off.

Drones

The possession, operation, or use of an unmanned aircraft system (UAS), or drone, is prohibited on Mercedes-Benz Superdome, Smoothie King Center, or Champions Square property without prior, written permission from management. Furthermore, persons operating a UAS on Mercedes-Benz Superdome, Smoothie King Center, or Champions Square property may be subject to criminal or civil penalties by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

Elevators

The Smoothie King Center has two passenger elevators for the 2020-2021 Season. The passenger elevators are located at the following places:

  • Elevators 3 & 4 service all patrons and are located inside the Smoothie King Center between the Northeast entrance on Girod Street and the East ground entrance on the corner of Girod and Le Rouge St.
  • The Club Elevator is located inside the venue across from the Northeast entrance for patrons accessing the club level.
  • A wheelchair lift is available on the east side of the Smoothie King Center for Loge/Club patrons with access from the ground to the club level.
  • Please not that capacity will be monitored for the upcoming season.

Escalators

The Smoothie King Center has eight (8) escalators.

The escalators are located at the following places:

  • Escalator 8 – service from the East Ground to Club/Loge Level
  • Escalator 9 – service from the East Ground to Club/Loge Level
  • Escalator 10 – service from the NW Ground to NW 100 Level
  • Escalator 11 – service from the NE Ground to NE 100 level
  • Escalator 12 – service from the East Ground to East 100 level
  • Escalator 13 – service from the NW 100 level to NW 300 level
  • Escalator 14 – service from the NE 100 level to NE 300 level
  • Escalator 15 – service from the East 100 level to East 300 level

Escalators will continue to serve as the primary mode of vertical transportation for fans. To alleviate overcrowding and promote social distancing, the following procedures will be implemented.

  • Escalators will be activated in the up position at an extended time during the onset of the event and activated in the egress position earlier then accustomed.
  • ASM personnel will be positioned at the top and bottom of each escalator. Enhanced training will be provided for all appropriate PSD and GSD team members assisting with escalator usage during ingress/egress operations, including a greater focus on social distancing on each escalator (i.e., reasonable goal of between each guest).
  • ASM personnel will monitor and encourage social distancing as guests load on to the rate of every 4-5 steps.
  • Riders will also be highly encouraged to maintain step distance between each guest for both ingress and egress processes and travel.

Emergency Exits

In the event of an emergency, please remain calm and WALK to the nearest exits, located at several points throughout the building. Please refer to the arena map for exact locations.

Eviction Policy

The following are examples of behaviors or activities that can result in eviction from the Smoothie King Center:

  • Failing to comply with stadium policies, including policies requiring face coverings and requirements to maintain physical distancing
  • Use of profanity or unacceptable language of any type
  • Possession of illegal or unauthorized items inside the arena
  • Unacceptable dress
  • Public drunkenness
  • Entering or attempting to enter any off-limit area, such as the playing surface, backstage, or restroom of the opposite sex
  • Participating in a fight or instigating a physical or verbal altercation
  • Verbally abusing, threatening, or intimidating other patrons or building employees
  • Throwing objects of any type at other patrons, employees, or guests of the Smoothie King Center
  • Possession of stolen tickets
  • Possession of any unauthorized banner or sign
  • Any other conduct deemed inappropriate by Building Management will also result in eviction.

Face Coverings and Masks

Per the NBA mandate, face coverings will be mandatory for all fans and staff, and must be worn at all times (other than while actively eating or drinking). Failure to comply with the NBA mandate will result in ejection from the stadium. Be a good teammate – because wearing a face covering not only helps to protect you, it helps protect other fans, our team and our staff.

PLEASE NOTE: Neck gaiters, bandanas, and masks with valves or vents are NOT PERMITTED.

Fan Code of Conduct

The National Basketball Association, New Orleans Pelicans, and Smoothie King Center management seek to foster a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable sports and entertainment experience in which:

  • Players and fans respect and appreciate each other.
  • Guests will be treated in a professional and courteous manner by all arena and team personnel.
  • Guests will enjoy the basketball experience free from disruptive behavior, including foul or abusive language and obscene gestures.
  • Guests will consume alcoholic beverages in a responsible manner. Intervention with an impaired, intoxicated, or underage guest will be handled in a prompt and safe manner.
  • Guests will sit only in their ticketed seats and show their tickets when requested.
  • Guests who engage in fighting, throwing objects, interfering with a player or referee or attempting to enter the court will be immediately ejected from the arena and may be subject to a ban from all NBA events.
  • Obscene or indecent messages on signs or clothing will not be permitted.
  • Guests will comply with requests from arena staff regarding arena operations and emergency response procedures.

Fan Mail

Fans sending email to Pelicans players or coaches should address the email to fanexperience@pelicans.com. Your email will be passed along to the player or coach. The Pelicans do not guarantee response to any mail or email received.

Fan Responsibility

Help the New Orleans Pelicans stop the spread of Covid-19. You should NOT come to the arena if you:

  • Have tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 14 days;
  • Have reason to believe you have COVID-19;
  • Have reason to believe that you've been exposed to COVID-19 in the last 14 days;
  • Have been in close contact (i.e., within 6 feet for more than 15 minutes) with someone who has a confirmed case of COVID-19 or symptoms of COVID-19 in the last 14 days;
  • Have taken any medication to reduce a fever within the last 2 days;
  • Are currently experiencing, or have experienced in the last 14 days, COVID-19 symptoms, including a cough, fever, sore throat, loss of taste or smell, nasal congestion, shortness of breath, unexplained headache, body aches or pains, diarrhea, or other symptoms of illness, or have otherwise felt unwell in the last 24 hours;
  • Have traveled internationally in the last 14 days; or
  • Have had close contact with someone who has traveled internationally in the last 14 days.
  • Have COVID-19, are experiencing or have within the last 48 hours experienced symptoms of COVID-19 such as fever, cough or shortness of breath, or know you've been exposed to COVID-19.
  • Those that are most vulnerable to COVID-19 should exercise extra caution. Click here to review conditions that put people at an increased risk of severe illness from COVID-19 as outlined by the CDC.

First Aid

Safety of all occupants of the Smoothie King Center is of primary concern. Any unsafe condition or activity should be immediately reported to Security or to a Smoothie King Center employee for medical assistance. First Aid is located at the following locations:

If you are in the stadium and begin to feel ill, you should find help immediately. A dedicated isolation area will be available for any fan who begins to feel ill after entering the stadium. The stadium's onsite medical team will be fully prepared to treat you and provide you with personal protective equipment (PPE), if necessary. If you feel ill at any point before leaving or on your way to the stadium, we ask that you please be a good teammate and stay home.

Health Screenings

All fans will be required to go through a temperature check and health-screening questionnaire prior to entering the Smoothie King Center. Guests that register a temperature of 100.4 or higher will be redirected to our cool-down area. From there, those guests will be given a second temperature reading. If the second reading is less than 100.4, the guest will be permitted to enter. If it remains at or above 100.4, the guest will not be permitted to attend the game.

Hearing Assistance

Complimentary hearing assistance devices are available at the Guest Services Booth located on the 100 Level adjacent to section 108. Identification is required in order to check out the device. Identification will be returned to the patron upon return of the device following the event.

Requests for other aid and service should be made at least thirty (30) business days prior to event. The ADA Facilitator may be unable to fill a request if made less than thirty (30) business days in advance of an event. Lost & Found

For lost and found information during an event, patrons should visit a Guest Services Booth located at the below locations:

  • Northeast Ground Level
  • 100 Level – Section 108
  • 300 Level – Section 310

After the conclusion of an event, guests can also inquire about lost items by filling out the Lost and Found Form at http://www.smoothiekingcenter.com/contact-us/lost-and-found. Once a lost and found form is submitted, please allow one (1) business day for a response. Guests will only receive an email if the missing item is found.

Lost or Stolen Tickets

Lost or stolen tickets purchased through the Pelicans will be replaced with the proper documentation. Please call the Pelicans ticket office and provide your account ID number, name on account, and last four digits of the credit card used to purchase the tickets. Replacement tickets will only be distributed to the account holder of record. For tickets that are purchased from any other outlet other than the Pelicans, you must contact the point of purchase for replacement.

Lost Children or Companions

Children who have lost their parents will be escorted to the nearest police officer, ASM Global Public Safety Officer, or to the closest Guest Services Booth. The child’s name will be registered and broadcast immediately to all Guest Services Booths, police, security, and usher personnel. Parents seeking a lost child should proceed to the nearest Guest Services Booth for assistance in locating their child, which are located at:

  • Northeast Ground Level
  • 100 Level – Section 108
  • 300 Level – Section 310

Mascot

Pierre the Pelican, the Pelicans' mascot, loves to connect with our fans at Pelicans games and other events. Contact our Mascot Coordinator at (504) 525-HOOP for more information or request an appearance online.

Merchandise/Pelicans Team Store

The Pelicans Shop, the Official Team Store of the New Orleans Pelicans, is located inside the Smoothie King Center with an entrance off of Dave Dixon Drive. The Pelicans Shop sells official Pelicans merchandise, including the same Nike gear worn by the Pelicans players.

Store hours are as follows:

  • Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. - 5 p.m.
  • Closed Saturday & Sunday, except for game nights
  • There is limited parking in front of the team store on Dave Dixon Drive on non-event days.

On game nights, the Team Shop will close to the general public 30 minutes prior to every Game Day Door Time. After this time, only ticketed guests may shop. Fans can also purchase merchandise online at The Pelicans Shop official online store www.pelicansteamstore.com

The Pelicans Team Store social distancing procedures are as follows:

  • The number of fans who can enter will be determined by governmental capacity guidelines.
  • Signs to remind fans to adhere to Social Distancing Guidelines will be displayed strategically throughout the store.
  • Every other register in use with individual shields, sanitizer, masks, and floor stickers for social distancing Registers will have a socially spaced queue line with floor markers
  • The payment process will be performed without the cashier handling the merchandise (customer displays barcode) and touchless payment.
  • A bag and receipt will be offered to the fan. The fan will bag their merchandise to reduce cross-contamination.
  • All merchandise returns will be facilitated by mail.
  • Associates will not restock merchandise while fans are present.
  • The entrance will have:
    1. Information and store policy signage
    2. A hand sanitation station

Mobile Parking and Ticketing

The Pelicans have shifted to 100% mobile tickets and parking passes. This will create a safer, contactless ticketing experience for our fans. It will also allow for increased flexibility and efficiency throughout the season as we adapt to updated conditions and guidelines. You will need to present your ticket(s) on a mobile phone in order to gain entry to the stadium. Each ticket can be displayed on an individual phone or all tickets in your group may be presented on one mobile phone. Parking passes must also be presented on a mobile phone in order to gain entry to your designated parking area. Your mobile tickets and/or parking passes can be downloaded to your phone, or transferred to your guests by logging into “Account Manager” via the Pelicans mobile app. If you need assistance with your tickets upon arrival at the stadium, please visit the SKC Box Office.

Parking

Parking is available in Mercedes-Benz Superdome Garages 2 and 5, as well as surrounding parking lots, including Lot 3.

  • Garage 2, 5, and Lots 3 and 3A are available for pass parking only.
  • ADA Parking is located in Lot 3 of the Smoothie King (entrance located on Girod Street under the overhang). Parking is on a first come, first serve basis.   • East: Take I-10 West to Mercedes Benz Superdome Exit 235 B, turn right on Cleveland Avenue, turn right on Claiborne Avenue, turn left on Poydras Street, turn right on Loyola Avenue, turn right on Girod Street, follow traffic police direction into garage (Champions Garage is on the left past the US Post Office).
  • West: Take 1-10 East (use second lane from the right and stay on I-10 East - follow signs for Slidell), remain in left lane and take exit 234 B for Poydras Street to Mercedes-Benz Superdome, continue on to Poydras Street, turn right on Loyola Avenue, turn right on Girod Street, follow traffic police direction into garage (Champions Garage is on the left past the US Post Office).
  • South: Take Business 90/Westbank Expressway to Mississippi River Bridge, exit at O’Keefe Avenue, turn left on Girod Street, follow traffic police direction to garage (Champions Garage is on the left past the US Post Office).

Garage 2:

  • East: Take I-10 West to Mercedes-Benz Superdome Exit, turn right on Cleveland Ave., turn right on Claiborne Ave., turn right on Poydras St. (away from Mercedes-Benz Superdome), take U-turn (towards Mercedes-Benz Superdome) on Poydras St., turn right on Loyola Ave., turn right on Girod St., follow traffic police direction to garage.
  • West: Take I-10 East, upon approaching the Mercedes-Benz Superdome stay in the middle lanes and follow 90/Superdome signage to the Mercedes-Benz Superdome Exit, turn right on Dave Dixon Dr./Girod St., turn right on Magnolia St., turn left on Howard Ave., turn left on LeRouge St., turn right on Dave Dixon Dr./Girod St., follow traffic police direction to garage.
  • South: Take Bus. 90/Westbank Expressway to Mississippi River Bridge, Exit at O’Keefe Ave., turn left on Girod St., follow traffic police direction to garage.

Garage 5:

  • East: Take I-10 West to Mercedes-Benz Superdome Exit 235 B, turn right on Cleveland Avenue, turn right on Claiborne Avenue, turn left on Poydras Street turn right on Clara Street, turn right on Sugar Bowl Drive, follow traffic police direction to Lot 4.
  • West: Take 1-10 East (use the second from the right lane and stay on I-10 East - follow signs for Slidell), remain in left lane to take exit 234 B for Poydras Street to Mercedes-Benz Superdome, continue onto Poydras Street, merge into right lane, turn right on Clara Street, turn right on Sugar Bowl Drive, follow traffic police direction to Lot 4.
  • South: Take Business 90/Westbank Expressway to Mississippi River Bridge, exit at Camp Street, proceed to Poydras Street, turn left on Poydras Street, turn left on Clara Street, turn right on Sugar Bowl Drive, follow traffic police direction to Lot 4.

Lot 3:

  • East: Take I-10 West to Mercedes Benz Superdome Exit 235 B, turn right on Cleveland Avenue, turn right on Claiborne Avenue, turn left on Poydras Street, turn right on Loyola Avenue, turn right on Girod Street, turn left on Le Rouge, follow traffic police direction to Julie St to Lot 3.

Patron Conduct

The Smoothie King Center Management and Staff are committed to creating a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable experience for all. Any conduct detrimental to the safe and proper operation of an event such as, but not limited to, abusive language, threats, assault, vandalism, theft, and all other inappropriate actions will result in immediate eviction from the premises or arrest and prosecution as appropriate. Patrons are encouraged to report all such behavior to any Smoothie King Center team member.

The following behaviors or activities are causes for eviction from the Smoothie King Center:

  • Failing to comply with stadium policies, including policies requiring face coverings and requirements to maintain physical distancing
  • Use of profanity or unacceptable language of any type
  • Possession of illegal or unauthorized items
  • Inappropriate or offensive attire
  • Public intoxication
  • Entering or attempting to enter any “off limit” area such as stage area, backstage, or restroom of the opposite sex
  • Fighting or instigating a physical or verbal altercation
  • Verbally abusing, threatening, or intimidating other patrons or building employees
  • Throwing objects of any type
  • Possession of stolen or counterfeit tickets
  • Possession of any unauthorized banners or signs
  • Attempted resale of tickets

Any other conduct deemed inappropriate by Venue Management will also result in eviction.

Physical and Social Distancing Updates

Please maintain physical distancing at least 6 feet while on SKC property; including the parking lot, at the entry gates and as you move around the Smoothie King Center. When exiting your seats for concessions, restrooms or following the game, please wait for aisles to clear to avoid congestion.

Touch free hand sanitizer locations will be placed throughout the stadium near concession locations, entrances to restrooms, walkways into seating sections, restrooms and guest services locations.

To ensure a safe environment for fans, all team and stadium personnel will follow the below protocols when interacting with fans:

  • Must wear face masks, and exercise hand hygiene at all times.
  • Attempt to maintain six feet distance with fans.
  • Be courteous at all times and strive to keep conversations short.
  • Do not physically interact with fans. No handshakes, “high fives”, fist pumps, etc.
  • When working in an area that includes high touch points, ensure this area is regularly tended to with disinfectants. These locations include the following:
    1. ATMs
    2. Charging stations
    3. Concession stands/condiment areas
    4. Door Handles
    5. Guest Services desk
    6. Escalator Rails
    7. Elevator Buttons
    8. Restrooms
  • Team Members at the Guest Service Desks and concourse kiosks will be provided hand sanitizer and gloves for handling tickets and lost and found items as well as disinfectant wipes to maintain cleanliness of the workspaces.

Pod Seating

Your ticketholder party will be seated together in a “pod” of adjacent seats. Your pod will be separated from other groups by a minimum of six (6) feet. Please do not sit in any seat other than the one you’ve been assigned in order to help us maintain pod integrity. Also, please remember to maintain social distancing and do not visit other guests in their seating pod.

  • Backpacks/knapsacks (with the exception of single-compartment drawstring bags that meet the NBA bag-size requirements and media backpacks that have been screened at the media entrance).   • Audio/visual recording devices (includes GoPro, Google Glass, Spectacles, etc.)
  • Banners/Flags: Spectators are not permitted to use or wave flags, banners, signs or other items that are affixed to any pole or stick made of wood, metal, plastic, or any other hard material, and that is more than 11 by 17 inches in size.

Our friendly and knowledgeable Account Executives are available to assist our Season Ticket Holders with any questions, comments, or concerns. Hours of operations are from door opening until the end of the third quarter.

Sensory Inclusion

Guided by experts from Kulture City, the Smoothie King Center has implemented the following procedures, guidelines, and opportunities to better serve guests with sensory sensitivities attending events.

  • Designated Entry Gates: Dedicated entry gates that are located around the Smoothie King Center are less crowded, noisy, and can be used by guests with sensory issues.
  • Sensory Bags: Guests may checkout Sensory Bags at no cost to utilize fidget toys, weighted lap pads, noise-cancelling headphones, and other resources during events. Sensory Bags are available at Guest Services booth located at Section 108.
  • Exit/Re-Entry: For guests with sensory sensitivities that need a break, a breath of fresh air can make all the difference. The Smoothie King Center guest services and security staffs will provide entry/re-entry at all major arena exits, allowing guests with sensory issues to step outside the arena and then re-enter, if needed.
  • Designated Quiet Rooms: These rooms will provide a quiet and relaxing space for people with sensory issues. If a patron needs to use a Quiet Room, please visit the Guest Services booth located at Section 108 for more information.

Sensory inclusive services at the Smoothie King Center can be provided at any time during any event by visiting the nearest Guest Services Booth or by contacting any nearby guest services representative.

Smoking

There are NO designated smoking locations for the 2020-2021 New Orleans Pelicans season in order to reduce unnecessary gatherings.

Solicitation

The distribution of promotional items, flyers, pamphlets, printed materials, as well as the solicitation of signatures and autographs, is not permitted on Smoothie King Center property without prior, written authorization from Venue Management.

Text Message

ASM offers a text messaging system that allows patrons to submit issues/concerns via text message. If a patron inside the facility wants to report an issue/concern (ex. Mask Policy and Social Distancing Violators) during an event, they send a text message to short code 69050 using the keyword NOLA followed by a space and their issue and location. Building personnel will monitor messages received and respond accordingly. This service varies on an event-by event basis.

Wheelchairs

The Smoothie King Center has a limited supply of wheelchairs available on a first-come, first-served basis. A government issued identification is required to check out a wheelchair. Wheelchairs may be checked out at the Guest Services Booth located on the 100 Level adjacent to Section 108.

The Smoothie King Center does provide escort personnel for patrons using wheelchairs.

Electronic wheelchair recharging is available for units with duplex outlet plugs.
