The Smoothie King Center is home to the New Orleans Pelicans, one of the most exciting NBA teams in the nation. This A-Z guide was developed to provide you with the information you need to have a safe and enjoyable game day experience. If you don’t find what you’re looking for in this guide, you may visit Guest Services booths located by Section 108 or 310 on the main concourse or contact a Pelicans ticket representative at (504) 525-4667. ADA Accessibility

The Smoothie King Center meets or exceeds all structural and service requirements as stipulated by the applicable law. All levels have elevator access and ADA seating. Wheelchairs are available for patron use and are accessible from the North & East Ground Level entry points. A valid driver's license is required in exchange for a wheelchair. Wheelchairs are not reserved.

Prior to the game, the patron should call the Pelicans Box Office at 504-593-4700 for proper arrangements. Wheelchair accessible seating, semi-ambulatory seating and removable armrest seating are located in various sections and levels throughout the Smoothie King Center. When requesting tickets, please identify your needs and/or if you need a seating location that is accessible for a standard-sized wheelchair, larger scooter, or other mobility device. Guests purchasing a ticket in a wheelchair/accessible seating location may also purchase three (3) companion seats, subject to availability. One (1) companion seat will be adjacent to the wheelchair seat location. The second and third seats will also be adjacent, subject to availability. Please be advised that if they cannot be adjacent, they will be located in the closest available seating location.

ADA Parking

  • ADA Parking is located in Lot 3 of the Smoothie King Center and on the ground floor of Champions Garage (entrance located on Girod Street under the overhang). Parking is on a first come, first serve basis. To gain access to accessible parking, proper vehicle registration is required as well as a current disabled placard with a matching identification card.

Alcoholic Beverages

Louisiana Law prohibits the sale of alcoholic beverages to persons under the age of 21. Proper identification must be shown to purchase any alcoholic beverage. All alcohol sales stop at the end of the 3rd quarter.

Animals

Animals are prohibited in the Smoothie King Center with the exception of service animals assisting ADA patrons. All service animals outlined by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) are allowed access to the Smoothie King Center. A link for the approved service animals can be found here.

Baby Changing Stations

Changing stations are available in the restrooms at the following locations:

  • East Ground Level
  • 100 Level – Section 108
  • 300 Level – Section 310

Bag Policy

Any bag, purse, backpack, or briefcase that is larger than 14" x 14" x 6" will not be allowed into the Smoothie King Center. This policy will be strictly enforced, and the Smoothie King Center is unable to store oversized or prohibited items. An exception will be made for declared medically necessary items, after proper inspection. Per NBA guidelines, all bags will be subject to the screening process through the X-ray machines. The use of X-ray machines will be a contactless step that takes the place of manual bag searches. There will be dedicated entry lines for bags and no bags at each entrance to assist with our entry process.

Prohibited bags include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Cinch bags
  • Oversized luggage
  • Coolers
  • See all prohibited items below under "Prohibited Items"

Banners / Signs / Flag

Banners/Signs/Flags are generally allowed if they meet the following conditions:

  • They do not exceed 11”x17”
  • They are in good taste.
  • They are not deemed offensive.
  • They do not include profanity.
  • They do not obstruct the view of any guests or any existing Smoothie King Center signage.
  • They do not present a safety hazard.
  • All prohibited items are listed below under "Prohibited Items".

New Orleans Pelicans and ASM reserve the rights to remove Banners/Signs/Flags at any time. Venue/Signs/Flags of a commercial nature are not permitted without specific permission from Venue Management. Please note these guidelines may change at any time due to event specifics, Show Management requests, etc.

The Pelicans and Chevron offer FREE, convenient, and protected bike parking across the street from Champions Square in Parking Lot 3 on Dave Dixon Drive. Box Office & Will Call

On Pelicans game days, the Smoothie King Center Box Office and New Orleans Pelicans Will Call will open 1.5 hours prior to tip off through the end of halftime. When visiting Will Call, be sure to have your photo ID and credit card in hand to expedite the process.

Cameras and Recording Policies

No video cameras and no professional cameras with lenses longer than 6” are allowed inside the Smoothie King Center. All other cameras are allowed.

Cashless Concessions and Merchandise

The Smoothie King Center is a cashless operation including all concessions, merchandise, and parking. Cash will not be accepted as a form of payment at any parking, retail, or concession locations within the Smoothie King Center.

Guests may convert their cash to a Visa Card by at the following Guest Service locations throughout the Arena:

  • 100 Level: Section 104
  • 300 Level: Section 304

Visa Cards are sold in $25 and $50 denominations and can be used at ANY POS location in the building including merchandise. Any remaining balance on the debit card can be used at locations where debit payments are accepted.

Catering and Concessions

All catering is provided exclusively in-house by Sodexo. Outside food and beverages of any kind may not be brought into the Smoothie King Center. The Smoothie King Center offers a wide variety of food and beverage choices. Concession favorites are offered along with a variety of other selections from specialty vendors.

Children’s Ticket Policy

Children two and under do not require a ticket for admission. However, in order for a child to have his or her own seat, a ticket is required.

Club Level

A Pelicans Club Seat in the Smoothie King Center is the most convenient and comfortable seating for NBA games. Offering first-class amenities, you will always have a premium sight line for viewing the action, along with membership to both the North and South Club Lounges. Door Openings

Early doors open 1.5 hours prior to tip off for premium season ticket holders, including club, suite, and floor level seating patrons. Regular doors open 1 hour prior to tip off for all patrons. We encourage all guests to arrive early to ensure you get to your seat before tip-off.

Drones

The possession, operation, or use of an unmanned aircraft system (UAS), or drone, is prohibited on Caesars Superdome, Smoothie King Center, or Champions Square property without prior, written permission from management. Furthermore, persons operating a UAS on Caesars Superdome, Smoothie King Center, or Champions Square property may be subject to criminal or civil penalties by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

East VIP

Patrons with premium seating get access to enter the arena via the East VIP Entrance. This entrance is located on the east side of the arena, directly across from Lot 3.

Elevators

The Smoothie King Center has five (5) passenger elevators and one (1) freight elevator. The passenger elevators are located at the following places:

  • Elevators 1 & 2 service suites and patrons with disabilities and are located inside of the entrance at the West/Northwest corner of the Smoothie King Center.
  • Elevators 3 & 4 service all patrons and are located inside the Smoothie King Center between the Northeast entrance on Girod Street and the East ground entrance on the corner of Girod and Le Rouge St.
  • The Club Elevator is located inside the venue across from the Northeast entrance for patrons accessing the club level.
  • A wheelchair lift is available on the east side of the Smoothie King Center for Loge/Club patrons with access from the ground to the club level.

Escalators

The Smoothie King Center has eight (8) escalators.

The escalators are located at the following places:

  • Escalator 8 – service from the East Ground to Club/Loge Level
  • Escalator 9 – service from the East Ground to Club/Loge Level
  • Escalator 10 – service from the NW Ground to NW 100 Level
  • Escalator 11 – service from the NE Ground to NE 100 level
  • Escalator 12 – service from the East Ground to East 100 level
  • Escalator 13 – service from the NW 100 level to NW 300 level
  • Escalator 14 – service from the NE 100 level to NE 300 level
  • Escalator 15 – service from the East 100 level to East 300 level

Emergency Exits

In the event of an emergency, please remain calm and WALK to the nearest exits, located at several points throughout the building. Please refer to the arena map for exact locations.

Ejection Policy

The following are examples of behaviors or activities that can result in ejection from the Smoothie King Center:

  • Use of profanity or unacceptable language of any type
  • Possession of illegal or unauthorized items inside the arena
  • Unacceptable dress
  • Public drunkenness
  • Entering or attempting to enter any off-limit area, such as the playing surface, backstage, or restroom of the opposite sex
  • Participating in a fight or instigating a physical or verbal altercation
  • Verbally abusing, threatening, or intimidating other patrons or building employees
  • Throwing objects of any type at other patrons, employees, or guests of the Smoothie King Center
  • Possession of stolen tickets
  • Possession of any unauthorized banner or sign
  • Any other conduct deemed inappropriate by Building Management will also result in ejection.

Fan Code of Conduct

The National Basketball Association, New Orleans Pelicans, and Smoothie King Center management seek to foster a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable sports and entertainment experience in which:

  • Players and fans respect and appreciate each other.
  • Guests will be treated in a professional and courteous manner by all arena and team personnel.
  • Guests will enjoy the basketball experience free from disruptive behavior, including foul or abusive language and obscene gestures.
  • Guests will consume alcoholic beverages in a responsible manner. Intervention with an impaired, intoxicated, or underage guest will be handled in a prompt and safe manner.
  • Guests will sit only in their ticketed seats and show their tickets when requested.
  • Guests who engage in fighting, throwing objects, interfering with a player or referee or attempting to enter the court will be immediately ejected from the arena and may be subject to a ban from all NBA events.
  • Obscene or indecent messages on signs or clothing will not be permitted.
  • Guests will comply with requests from arena staff regarding arena operations and emergency response procedures.

First Aid

Safety of all occupants of the Smoothie King Center is of primary concern. Any unsafe condition or activity should be immediately reported to Security or to a Smoothie King Center employee for medical assistance. First Aid is located at the following locations:

If you are in the arena and begin to feel ill, you should find help immediately. The arena’s onsite medical team will be fully prepared to treat you and provide you with personal protective equipment (PPE), if necessary. If you feel ill at any point before leaving or on your way to the arena, we ask that you please be a good teammate and stay home.

Call the Pelicans before organizing your next group outing with your office, school, team, club or group of friends. Our Group Sales department will be happy to help you plan your event by providing ticket discounts, special seating arrangements, promotional materials, and personalized services at one of our games. Hearing Assistance

Complimentary hearing assistance devices are available at the Guest Services Booth located on the 100 Level adjacent to section 108. Identification is required in order to check out the device. Identification will be returned to the patron upon return of the device following the event.

Requests for other aid and service should be made at least thirty (30) business days prior to event. The ADA Facilitator may be unable to fill a request if made less than thirty (30) business days in advance of an event. Individual tickets are sold at the Smoothie King Center Box Office on game days only or www.pelicans.com. Below is a schedule for the sale of individual tickets:

Lost & Found

For lost and found information during an event, patrons should visit a Guest Services Booth located at the below locations:

  • Northeast Ground Level
  • 100 Level – Section 108
  • 300 Level – Section 310

After the conclusion of an event, guests can also inquire about lost items by filling out the Lost and Found Form at http://www.smoothiekingcenter.com/contact-us/lost-and-found. Once a lost and found form is submitted, please allow one (1) business day for a response. Guests will only receive an email if the missing item is found.

Lost or Stolen Tickets

Lost or stolen tickets purchased through the Pelicans will be replaced with the proper documentation. Please call the Pelicans ticket office and provide your account ID number, name on account, and last four digits of the credit card used to purchase the tickets. Replacement tickets will only be distributed to the account holder of record. For tickets that are purchased from any other outlet other than the Pelicans, you must contact the point of purchase for replacement.

Lost Children or Companions

In an effort to decrease the possibility of separation, all parents are encouraged to sign up their children for the If Lost Program at Guest Services in Section 108 on the 100 Level. After enrolling, children will receive a wristband which is to contain the full name and phone number of the child’s parent or guardian. This information is to help assist staff in reuniting the children with their parent(s) or guardian(s). Children who become separated will be escorted to Guest Services in Section 108 on the 100 Level by a Team Member. Please proceed here to be reunited.

Mascot

Merchandise / Pelicans Team Store

The Pelicans Team Store, the Official Team Store of the New Orleans Pelicans, is located inside the Smoothie King Center with an entrance off of Dave Dixon Drive. The Pelicans Team Store sells official Pelicans merchandise, including the same Nike gear worn by the Pelicans players.

Store hours are as follows:

  • Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. (on non-game days)
  • Closed Saturday and Sunday (on non-game days)
  • There is limited parking in front of the team store on Dave Dixon Drive on non-event days.

On game days, the Pelicans Team Store will be closed to the general public, and will open to ticketed fans at Game Day Door Time (one hour prior to tip off). Fans can also purchase merchandise online at The Pelicans Team Store official online site at www.pelicansteamstore.com.

Mobile Parking and Ticketing

The Pelicans have shifted to 100% mobile tickets and parking passes. This will create a safer, contactless ticketing experience for our fans. It will also allow for increased flexibility and efficiency throughout the season as we adapt to updated conditions and guidelines.

Patron Conduct

The Smoothie King Center Management and Staff are committed to creating a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable experience for all. Any conduct detrimental to the safe and proper operation of an event such as, but not limited to, abusive language, threats, assault, vandalism, theft, and all other inappropriate actions will result in immediate eviction from the premises or arrest and prosecution as appropriate. Patrons are encouraged to report all such behavior to any Smoothie King Center team member.

The following behaviors or activities are causes for eviction from the Smoothie King Center:

  • Failing to comply with arena policies
  • Use of profanity or unacceptable language of any type
  • Possession of illegal or unauthorized items
  • Inappropriate or offensive attire
  • Public intoxication
  • Any attempt to alter or modify the existing pod seating system in the arena.
  • Entering or attempting to enter any “off limit” area such as stage area, backstage, or restroom of the opposite sex
  • Fighting or instigating a physical or verbal altercation
  • Verbally abusing, threatening, or intimidating other patrons or building employees
  • Throwing objects of any type
  • Possession of stolen or counterfeit tickets
  • Possession of any unauthorized banners or signs
  • Attempted resale of tickets

Any other conduct deemed inappropriate by Venue Management will also result in eviction.

Pelicans Season Ticket Holders can manage their account quickly and easily by logging onto their SeatGeek Account Manager. Once on the SeatGeek Account Manager page, enter your email and password. Forward your tickets to family, friends, co-workers and clients, make payments, check ticket usage, print tickets, and update your account information.

Some of the happy hours will take place either outside the Smoothie King Center (on Dave Dixon Drive) will start 1.5 hours before tip-off. No tickets are required to attend the outdoor event, so bring your friends! Pregame festivities include:

  • A variety of concessions, live music, lawn games
  • An appearance from Pierre the Pelican and Pelicans Entertainment Team
  • More surprises to come!

Some of our pre-game Happy Hours may be located inside the Smoothie King Center at the Jameson Sports Bar at Section 104. Tickets will be required to attend these happy hours.

A public transportation stop is located on Poydras Street across from the Caesars Superdome at Gate A Ground Level.

The Smoothie King Center Public Safety Department is present during all events. For any public safety-related questions, please call (504) 587-3900. In case of an emergency, please call 911.

Re-entry is not permitted.

Restrooms

The Smoothie King Center offers a total of 26 women's restrooms and 24 men's restrooms. All restrooms include diaper-changing stations and are accessible to persons with disabilities. There are also 4 family restrooms – East Ground, Elevator 1 & 2 Entrance, Section 108, and Section 310.

Sensory Inclusion

Guided by experts from KultureCity, the Smoothie King Center has implemented the following procedures, guidelines, and opportunities to better serve guests with sensory sensitivities attending events:

  • Designated Entry Gates: Dedicated entry locations that are located around the Smoothie King Center are less crowded, noisy, and can be used by guests with sensory issues.
  • Sensory Bags: Guests may checkout Sensory Bags at no cost to utilize fidget toys, weighted lap pads, noise-cancelling headphones, and other resources during events. Sensory Bags are available at Guest Services booth located at Section 108.
  • Exit/Re-Entry: For guests with sensory sensitivities that need a break, a breath of fresh air can make all the difference. The Smoothie King Center guest services and security staffs will provide entry/re-entry at all major arena exits, allowing guests with sensory issues to step outside the arena and then re-enter, if needed.
  • Designated Quiet Rooms: This room will provide a quiet and relaxing space for people with sensory issues. If a patron needs to use the Quiet Room, please visit the Guest Services booth located at Section 108 for more information.
  • Sensory inclusive services at the Smoothie King Center can be provided at any time during any event by visiting the nearest Guest Services Booth or by contacting any nearby guest services representative.

Smoking

Designated smoking locations have been eliminated for the 2023-2024 New Orleans Pelicans season.

Solicitation

The distribution of promotional items, flyers, pamphlets, printed materials, as well as the solicitation of signatures and autographs, is not permitted on Smoothie King Center property without prior, written authorization from Venue Management.

Text Message

ASM offers a text messaging system that allows patrons to submit issues/concerns via text message. If a patron inside the facility wants to report an issue/concern during an event, they send a text message 69050 using the keyword "SKC" followed by a space and their issue and location. Building personnel will monitor messages received and respond accordingly. This service varies on an event-by event basis.

The Warehouse

New to the Smoothie King Center this season is The Warehouse. This new event space is perfect for corporate retreats or celebrating special occasions. Wheelchairs

The Smoothie King Center has a limited supply of wheelchairs available on a first-come, first-served basis. A government issued identification is required to check out a wheelchair. Wheelchairs may be checked out at the Guest Services Booth located on the 100 Level adjacent to Section 108.

The Smoothie King Center does provide escort personnel for patrons using wheelchairs.

Electronic wheelchair recharging is available for units with duplex outlet plugs.
