Five things to know about the Pelicans on July 31

1) The highly-anticipated release of the Pelicans’ new uniforms will take place Thursday at 1 p.m. Central. You can watch the uniform unveiling live tomorrow on Pelicans.com. New Orleans players Anthony Davis, Ryan Anderson, Jrue Holiday and Jason Smith will be on hand for the historic event.
2) Check out which numbers each of New Orleans’ offseason additions will wear on their new Pelicans jerseys.
3) NBA TV has scheduled its annual schedule release show for Tuesday, Aug. 6 at 5 p.m. Central. We’ll have extensive coverage of the Pelicans’ schedule when it is released next week.
4) Looking ahead a bit, Davis, Tyreke Evans and Austin Rivers were named official ambassadors for the 2014 NBA All-Star Jam Session event, which will be held at the Convention Center.
5) It became official yesterday that 2013 second-round pick Jeff Withey has signed with the Pelicans.
