The fourth annual Basketball Day Indiana tips off this weekend and this year, it's bigger than ever. The annual celebration of Indiana's unmatched connection to the sport of basketball include 27 consecutive hours of programming, bookended by a pair of Pacers home games tonight and Saturday.

In addition to Bankers Life Fieldhouse, Kokomo's Memorial Gymnasium will serve as a co-host for Basketball Day Indiana, with four high school games taking place in the historic gym.

Kokomo will host Basketball Day Indiana at historic Memorial Gymnasium
Four high school games will be played at Memorial Gymnasium in Kokomo and will be televised live on FOX Sports Indiana. Kokomo is the first ever designated host city for Basketball Day.

Two Pacers home games
The Pacers host Toronto on Friday and New Orleans on Saturday.

27 hours of Basketball Day programming
FOX Sports Indiana will show 27 consecutive hours of Indiana basketball programming, starting with Pacers pregame Friday night.

Special recognition at the Pacers Hickory Night
The Pacers will recognize Indiana University and Purdue University coaching legends Bob Knight and Gene Keady in a special Hickory Night halftime ceremony on Feb. 8.

Every IHSAA varsity game statewide to be part of Basketball Day
The 237 high schools hosting home games this weekend will receive a Basketball Day flag. The schools will join the celebration by posting photos to social media with the hashtag #BasketballDayIndiana.

Coverage of the IHSAA Girls Tournament
FOX Sports Indiana will provide reports on IHSAA girls sectional tournament games. And the Sectional 7 Final, from Logansport, will be streamed live on FOX Sports GO and IHSAAtv.org.

Cutting edge tech
FOX Sports Indiana will bring 21st-century TV production technology to 70-year-old Memorial Gymnasium. Its 14 cameras will include above-the-rim robotic cams and a Jib. The network will also build a host desk with a video wall in the corner of Memorial Gym. FOX Sports Indiana’s production truck will arrive Thursday to begin setup.

National TV
The Basketball Day Live pregame show and the Tipton-Kokomo and Northwestern-Peru games will be shown live nationally on FOX College Sports. All Basketball Day daytime programming will be streamed nationally on FOX Sports GO.

Police vs. Fire game
Kokomo police officers and firefighters will play an exhibition game at 6 p.m. Friday at Memorial Gym. Highlights will be shown Friday on FOX Sports Indiana.

The fourth annual Basketball Day Indiana will be hosted by Kokomo, Ind., at historic Memorial Gymnasium, it was announced today. Basketball Day Indiana 2020 is set for Saturday, Feb. 8.

Basketball Day Indiana is a full day of games and television coverage celebrating Indiana's game. It is produced by FOX Sports Indiana, the Indiana Pacers, Indiana Fever and IHSAA. It is presented by Ascension St. Vincent.

"We're thrilled to bring Basketball Day Indiana to Kokomo alongside our partners the Pacers, Fever, IHSAA and Ascension St. Vincent," said FOX Sports Indiana senior vice president and general manager Jack Donovan. "We want to showcase the state's iconic gyms and communities each year as part of Basketball Day. The tremendous history of Memorial Gymnasium and enthusiasm of the Kokomo community make it an ideal setting."

Plans for Basketball Day Indiana 2020 include:

Kokomo's Memorial Gym to host Basketball Day Invitational
Four marquee high school boys games will be played at historic Memorial Gymnasium in Kokomo. All four games – one featuring the Kokomo Wildkats -- will be televised live on FOX Sports Indiana. The full slate of games will be announced later this month. Memorial Gymnasium was built in 1949 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2005.

Pacers home games bookend 24+ hours of Basketball Day programming
The celebration begins Friday, Feb. 7, with the Pacers' home game vs. Toronto. Basketball Day TV programming will continue throughout the night. Live coverage from Kokomo will start Saturday morning. Basketball Day concludes with the Pacers' Saturday home game vs. New Orleans.

Special recognition at the Pacers Hickory Night
This also will be a Pacers Hickory Night during which Indiana University and Purdue University coaching legends Bob Knight and Gene Keady will be recognized in a special halftime ceremony.

INDIANAPOLIS — Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb issued an official proclamation on Friday declaring that Saturday, Jan. 19 is Basketball Day in the state of Indiana.

Holcomb made the proclamation in a special press conference at Bankers Life Fieldhouse, which featured a number of notable guests, including Pacers Sports & Entertainment President and COO Rick Fuson, Pacers President of Basketball Operations Kevin Pritchard, Fever COO Julie Graue, Fever legend and PS&E Director of Player Programs and Franchise Development Tamika Catchings, St. Vincent Chief Strategy Officer Christine Frederic, FOX Sports Indiana Sr. Vice President and GM Jack Donovan, IHSAA Commissioner Bobby Cox, Indiana University Vice President and Director of Athletics Fred Glass, Purdue legend Brian Cardinal, Butler University Vice President and Director of Athletics Barry Collier, Valparaiso Director of Athletics Mark LaBarbera, and FOX Sports Indiana broadcasters Chris Denari and Quinn Buckner.

"(Basketball) is not just who are, but it's in many respects who we were throughout life and it's what we've gained from the game," Holcomb said. Saturday is the third-annual Basketball Day Indiana on FOX Sports Indiana, a celebration of Indiana's game featuring 14 hours of basketball.

FOX Sports Indiana will broadcast a number of boys and girls high school games from both Bankers Life Fieldhouse and North Daviess High School, FOX will air both the Indiana-Purdue and Butler-St. John's games, and the night will culminate with the Pacers hosting the Dallas Mavericks for a Hickory Night game honoring Hall of Famer Slick Leonard.

Governor Holcomb Declares Saturday, Jan. 19 Basketball Day

For the second year in a row, FOX Sports Indiana will televise one of the most action-packed days of the year with Basketball Day Indiana.

For those unfamiliar, Basketball Day Indiana offers an insane amount of coverage for those who can never get enough hoops. Starting at 9 AM on Saturday, January 6, the games begin with a high school girls matchup taking place at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.

The meeting between Lakewood Park Christian and Garrett will be the first of nine games featured during the day's full slate of action, with host Brian Hammons guiding viewers throughout the day.

While Bankers Life Fieldhouse will be the central hub of activity, with four of the games taking place there, FOX Sports Indiana will use "whip-around" coverage, similar to the NFL's Red Zone channel, to provide coverage of multiple games at once.

Three college games around the state will begin between 2:00 and 2:30 PM, all taking place in Indiana's borders. At 4:45 PM, the Broad Ripple High School and Crispus Attucks boys will face off at the newly-minted Pacers Athletic Center in Westfield.

Following all of the early games, the day wraps up with a marquee matchup at Bankers Life Fieldhouse as the Pacers take on the red-hot Chicago Bulls. After the Pacers postgame, FOX Sports Indiana will air a closing segment of Basketball Day Live, recapping all of the day's games.

Basketball Day Indiana Set to Take Over Screens

FOX Sports Indiana, the Indiana Pacers, Indiana Fever and IHSAA today announced plans for the second annual Basketball Day Indiana, a celebration of the state's unmatched connection to the sport. Basketball Day Indiana will tip off Saturday, Jan. 6, 2018, and showcase the sport at all levels – from youth to the NBA.

FOX Sports Indiana will televise nine games from around the state and include more than 13 hours of live programming as part of Basketball Day Indiana. The network also announced that its coverage will feature a "whip-around" style product enhancement for its multi-game college basketball lineup during Basketball Day Indiana.

"Our goal with Basketball Day Indiana is to celebrate the state's passion for the sport. We're proud to team up with the Pacers, Fever and IHSAA, and to join with FOX Sports' collegiate partners from the Big Ten and Missouri Valley Conference, to produce an event that showcases basketball at all levels," said FOX Sports Indiana general manager and senior vice president Jack Donovan.

Basketball Day Indiana will start with three high school games from Bankers Life Fieldhouse, including two marquee matchups: Girls Class 4A preseason No. 2 Pike takes on No. 3 North Central; and boys preseason 4A No. 1 New Albany faces 3A No. 16 Silver Creek. Later in the day, Class 3A No. 1 Crispus Attucks faces No. 8 Broad Ripple from Grand Park Fieldhouse.

In mid-afternoon the focus shifts to the college ranks. From 2 to 4:30 p.m., FOX Sports Indiana will present three games simultaneously in a "whip-around" format. FOX Sports Indiana's longtime Pacers broadcast team, Chris Denari and Quinn Buckner, will guide viewers through the Purdue-Indiana women's game, Nebraska-Purdue men's game and Seton Hall-Butler men's game. A fourth college game, Valparaiso hosting Southern Illinois, will air at 4:30 p.m. on FOX Sports Indiana Plus as part of FOX Sports' Missouri Valley Conference package.

Basketball Day Indiana culminates with the Pacers hosting the Chicago Bulls.

FOX Sports Indiana also plans to shine the spotlight on youth basketball, with instructional segments and features from Grand Park Fieldhouse, and on the IHSAA-Special Olympics Indiana unified sports program. FOX Sports Indiana will anchor between-game coverage from a set in the entry pavilion of Bankers Life Fieldhouse.
