Myles Turner Named to All-Rookie Second Team

INDIANAPOLIS – Indiana Pacers forward/center Myles Turner was named Thursday to the NBA’s All-Rookie Second Team in a vote by a panel of sportswriters and broadcasters.

"It's an incredible honor to be recognized as part of the All-Rookie team," said Turner. "It's great motivation moving forward and I'm excited for the future."

"We are very pleased for Myles," added Pacers President of Basketball Operations Larry Bird. "He put in the work and put forth the effort to earn this."

Turner played in 60 games during the regular season, with 30 starts. He averaged 10.3 points, 5.5 rebounds and 1.4 blocks per game in the regular season. During the regular season, he missed 20 games due to a chip fracture in his left thumb. In the Pacers’ seven playoff games, he started four with averages of 10.3 points, 6.4 rebounds and 3.3 blocks per game.

Joining Turner on the second team were: Miami's Justise Winslow; D'Angelo Russell from the Lakers; Emmanuel Mudiay from Denver and Willie Cauley-Stein from Sacramento.

First team selections were Rookie of the Year Karl-Anthony Towns from Minnesota; Kristaps Porzingis from New York; Devin Booker from Phoenix; Nikola Jokic from Denver and Jahlil Okafor from Philadelphia.
