FORT WAYNE, IN - The Fort Wayne Mad Ants, presented by Lutheran Health Network, have announced their 2016-17 training camp roster.
The roster will highlight five returning players. Trey McKinney-Jones, a member of the 2014 Championship team, will rejoin the team after spending last season in Hungary. The remaining returners include Stephan Hicks, Marcus Simmons, Anthony Walker, and Christian Watford (acquired through a trade during the 2015-16 season).
The 15-man roster includes the additions of Ben Bentil, Alex Poythress, Julyan Stone, and Nick Zeisloft as affiliate players from the Indiana Pacers. Zeisloft, an Indiana University standout, averaged 6.5 points per game his senior season. He also finished first in the Big Ten in three point field goal percentage.
Mad Ants made three selections from the 2016 NBA D-League draft, acquired an additional player through draft-day trade. Two local tryout athlete will also be featured in training camp.
Training camp begins Tuesday; the Mad Ants will open the 2016-17 season at the Greensboro Swarm at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 12th. The home opener for the Mad Ants will be Sunday, November 25th at 5:00 p.m.
