Call-A-Pacer Begins in April for 21st Year

INDIANAPOLIS – For the 21st year, the Indiana Pacers have teamed with the Indianapolis Public Library to present Call-A-Pacer, sponsored by Stanley Security Solutions. The program allows callers to listen to featured Pacers’ players and media personalities read part of a children’s story. Fans can visit their local library to check out the featured book of the week; receive an autographed photo of that week’s featured reader; enter to win a book autographed by the reader and an official “I’m a Pacers All-Star Reader” sticker.


Fans of all ages can call either (317) 275-4444 or (877) 275-9007 or log onto, to hear players and personalities read pre-selected children’s stories. The phone lines are open 24 hours, and may be accessed by up to four listeners at a time.

Call-A-Pacer was created to encourage school-age children to read and visit their neighborhood library. All stories will run for one week beginning this week and will conclude the week of June 9, 2014.
