There is little information about Axel Toupane in the United States. The 20-year-old Frenchman has played a small role at the club level in Europe over the past two years. His lack of statistical production is not in and of itself a red flag, as Toupane is playing against much older competition, including Americans who played four years in colllge.
Toupane has good size and athleticism. His strengths include his defense and his high IQ allows him to handle the ball and pass well. He's not much of a scorer in the halfcourt at this stage in his development. If selected in the draft, he'd likely spend another couple years playing in Europe before coming to the NBA.
