Jeremiah Johnson enters his fifth season as TV Host/Sideline Reporter for Pacers basketball on Fox Sports Indiana, but is no stranger to the network or the franchise. He conducted postgame interviews on broadcasts from 2006-10 and traveled with the team producing home and away Pacers Live! Pregame shows during the 2013-14 season.
Prior to joining Fox Sports Indiana full-time last season Jeremiah was a sports anchor/reporter at WXIN-TV Fox 59 in Indianapolis from 2004-13. His memorable assignments included covering each of Butler’s NCAA tournament games during the Final Four runs in 2010 and 2011, in addition to covering three Super Bowls and numerous Pacers playoff series.
He has also contributed as a producer and sideline reporter for IHSAA State Championship telecasts and tournament pairings shows since 2010 which currently also air on Fox Sports Indiana. Johnson is a “Hoosier” at heart and has spent all but 15 months of his life in Indiana. He grew up in Peru, graduated from Ball State University, and prior to his time in Indianapolis spent three years as a sports anchor/ reporter at WTWO-TV in Terre Haute.
Jeremiah remembers vividly playing with his YMCA teammates on the court at Market Square Arena after a Pacers/Bulls game in 1985 that featured fellow Miami County native Kyle Macy. After cheering on the Blue and Gold for so many years, having the opportunity to “cover” Reggie Miller’s final regular season home game was a surreal experience.
Jeremiah considers being a Pacers sideline reporter and studio host a “dream job” in every way. He lives in Zionsville with his wife Alisha and sons Preston and Mason.
