5K Run/Walk & 1K Family Fun Run

Join us for the 3rd Annual Denver Nuggets 5k – RUN TO THE RIM race on Sunday, August 26th, 2018. The route will begin at Pepsi Center, goes through Auraria Campus then finishes with a post-race festival! (*The 5k is for all ages and fitness levels, so your entire family can participate.)

The Family Fun Run will be throughout Pepsi Center Property and finishing with a post-race festival!

Not only will the best mascot in the NBA, Rocky be leading off the race, but also there in support will be the Denver Nuggets Dancers, the Skyline Drumline and Dunk Squad.

Denver Nuggets Ticket:

As a thank you for your participation in the Denver Nuggets 5K Run to the Rim, each participant will receive (1) complimentary Upper Level ticket to a select Denver Nuggets game. A Denver Nuggets representative will contact you via email with the game option to redeem your free ticket. You will have the option to purchase additional tickets and or upgrade your ticket as well.

  • 7:30-9:00am | Registration: Pepsi Center – East Entrance
  • 9:00am | 5K Run/Walk Start
  • 9:05am | 1k Family Fun Run Start
  • 10:30am | Awards Ceremony (Top 3 overall male/female 5K finishers)
  • 12:00pm | Event Ends

Post-Race Festival

After the race, join us for the post-event party. Includes food & beverages, awards, & entertainment located outside the East Entrance of the Pepsi Center.

Race day packet pickup will be held with registration starting 7:30am - 9am in the Pepsi Center East Entrance.
Yes... Please be sure that you are in good communication with your friends, so that they know you are doing so!
The race is a 5K route, which is approximately 3.1 miles. There is also a shorter route option, the Family Fun Run which is approximately 1 mile. You may choose to walk or run either route. If you are unable to walk or run, you can still register and join us on race day. We are always looking for volunteers to cheer on our runners and walkers.

The Denver Nuggets hold the right to cancel the race if deemed unsafe for participants. If the event is canceled due to weather our website will be updated 12 hours prior to the event.
All parking for the Denver Nugget 5k Run to the Rim will be located in the Tundra Parking lot at Pepsi Center. You can access the Tundra lot from Chopper Circle at Speer Blvd. or 11th St.
Strollers are permitted, but as a matter of courtesy and safety, stroller users should line up at the back of the crowd for entrance on the Race course.

  • We do not allow roller blades, skates or bicycles.
  • While we love our furry friends, pets are NOT allowed at the event.
  • Leashed service dogs only, please.
