Nuggets Host Third Pre-Draft Workout

Writer and Digital Content Specialist

The Denver Nuggets will hold their third pre-draft workout Monday morning on the UCHealth Practice Court at Ball Arena.

Similar to the first two of these pre-draft workouts, six players from various college and international programs have been invited to take part in it.

Some previously worked out players include Nikola Jović of Serbia, Christian Koloko of Arizona, David Roddy of Colorado State University, and Wendell Moore Jr. of Duke.

Below are the six players invited to Monday's workout, as well as a some basic information about them.

Garrison Brooks - Mississippi State - F - 6'9"

Brooks spent four season at the University of North Carolina before becoming a graduate transfer to Mississippi State. As a career starter, he made an impact as a strong interior presence and is built to be a small-ball center in today's NBA.

Kendall Brown - Baylor - G - 6'8"

This Baylor product is one of the few Freshman that have been worked out by the Nuggets. In his lone college season, he proved himself to be a reliable role player with freakish athleticism and a knack for making things happen with the ball in his hands.

Collin Gillespie - Villanova - G - 6'3"

If college basketball had its own version of the "veteran presence" discussed so often in the NBA, it would be Gillespie. Five years at one of the nation's most successful college programs turned him into the perfect player for any contending team.

Caleb Houstan - Michigan - G/F - 6'8"

Houston was a wing starter for a quality Michigan team in his Freshman season. He was a recipient of the 2021-22 Wooden Award for the preseason, but played even better in Conference play, shooting nearly 40% from three in that time.

Ismael Kamagate - Paris Basketball - C - 6'11"

Perhaps one of the more physically gifted centers in this year's prospect class, Kamagate impressed in international play with his ability to make things happen at the rim. A pre-draft workout is the perfect place for him to announce his presence on the NBA stage.

Andrew Nembhard - Gonzaga - G - 6'5"

Nembhard spent two years at Florida and two years at Gonzaga, and was able to mold his game to the needs of his team each year. His senior season was perhaps his best, as he was able to score efficiently, get teammates involved, and play strong defense for one of the best teams in the nation.

All names are subject to change. The Nuggets hold the No. 21 pick in the 2022 NBA Draft, taking place on Thursday, June 23.
