With the upcoming 2022-23 season, the fan-favorite Mile High City Uniform has evolved
Evolving, changing, growing.
The Denver Nuggets statement uniform is debuting a fresh look.
The team’s statement uniform which draws inspiration from the city's nickname of “Mile High City,” as Denver is located a mile above sea level, the highest altitude of any NBA team, has evolved once more in preparation for the upcoming 2022-23 season.
Nuggets Debut New Version of Mile High City Uniform
The uniform that is unanimously a favorite among fans and players alike and originally debuted in the 2018-19 season reflects that spirit of evolution, building on the beloved elements from the original statement uniform in unison with the inclusion of new elements and color palettes.
The new Mile High City uniform will feature the addition of two gold strikes included in the Nuggets’ global icon logo and the secondary Mile High City logo, both featured on the chest. The uniform number, which was previously shaded in white, will now be showcased in sunshine yellow to reflect the 300-plus days of sunshine Denver annually receives. Lastly, the addition of flatiron red will be utilized to trim elements. The contrast of the yellow and red against the vibrant cobalt blue will blend in this fresh and new look to the Nuggets’ statement uniform.
“The Mile High City uniform aligns with the narrative of evolving and changing like our city,” Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of Kroenke Sports and Entertainment, Declan Bolger said. “The city doesn’t stand still and like it, our team doesn’t either. Denver is a rapidly changing and evolving city. As it’s grown, it’s added a music and art presence as well as strong entrepreneurial developments and a tech spirit.”
The jersey officially goes on sale on Oct. 1 online on Altitude Authentics. For more information on the Denver Nuggets and details on the newest Mile High City uniform, please visit: https://www.altitudeauthentics.com/pages/denver-nuggets
