After setting NBA team records with 57 wins and 38 home victories, the Denver Nuggets are ready for the postseason.

The Nuggets captured the No. 3 seed in the West with their 23rd consecutive home win Wednesday night and will open the Western Conference playoffs Saturday at Pepsi Center against the Golden State Warriors.

Denver (57-25) and the Warriors (47-35) have never met in the postseason. The Nuggets won the season series 3-1, with the only loss coming by one point in Oakland on Nov. 29.

The Warriors are led by sharp-shooting guard Stephen Curry, who set the NBA single-season record with 272 3-pointers. Golden State forward David Lee also enjoyed a strong season, averaging 18.5 points and 11.2 rebounds.

"We are going to have to do good things against (Golden State)," Nuggets coach George Karl said. "The first two games at home, we just have to be ready for."

The Nuggets will have home-court advantage for the first time since the 2010 playoffs when they earned the No. 4 seed in the West.
