Brief Info

Kieon Arkwright, a Flint, MI native, leads the Nuggets Basketball Academy. He is currently the Director of Youth Basketball, which includes directing the Nuggets Academy’s summer basketball camps, clinics, and fan engagement programs. Arkwright holds a BA degree from University of Texas Pan American. He also spent a few years playing professionally in Central America, and after hanging up his sneakers, he focused on training other players and constantly learning new techniques.

In addition to Denver Nuggets PG Monte Morris, Arkwright also trains WNBA superstar Skylar Diggins and many pros who make their living overseas. Arkwright has made his mark in the youth basketball world by running clinics for major shoe companies in the U.S. and establishing a clinic base worldwide. In Denver, Arkwright sees a situation that is like his time spent in Japan: a chance to lay the foundation in a largely fragmented youth basketball scene in the city.

Brief Info

Madison Montgomery is the Denver Nuggets Youth Basketball Coordinator. Growing up Colorado, Madison was a Nuggets fan from an early age. Inspired by the basketball culture her family and the state of Colorado exudes, she started her basketball career by playing in as many youth basketball leagues and tournaments as possible.

After playing for Colorado Basketball Club and graduating from Highlands Ranch High school in 2013, Madison continued her love for the game at California State University, Long Beach to play Division 1 basketball for the next four years with a BA in Family and Consumer Sciences. During her time at Long Beach State she helped organize and lead Long Beach summer camps, was elected the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee Community Service Executive, and helped lead the women’s basketball team to their 2017 Big West Championship. She then went on to play professionally in France.

It was through her positive experiences through sports that made Madison’s career path very clear. She understands the importance of organized youth sports for the individual and the community. By continuing her career in youth sports, she hopes to provide the same opportunities, excitement, and sense of community that was given to her as an eager and motivated Colorado kid.
