Already the NBA’s all-time leader in made 3-pointers, Stephen Curry raised the bar again Saturday night by knocking down his 3,500th triple.
No other player has ever made 3,000 and only 3 other players have made 2,500.
Midway through the first quarter of the Warriors’ 124-120 victory over the Nets, Curry curled around a screen and launched the milestone 3-pointer.
And that was just the start.
Curry went on the have one his best games of the season, finishing with 37 points on 14-for-22 shooting, including 6-for-8 from beyond the arc. He also scored 12 straight points in less than two minutes in the fourth quarter to seal the victory.
Meanwhile, Klay Thompson also was also making it rain, scoring 12 of his 24 points from 3-point range. He moved past Jason Terry into 9th place on the NBA’s career 3-point leaderboard.
Curry and Thompson combined for 61 points with 10 made 3-pointers on 17 attempts.
