Atlanta Hawks All-Star guard Trae Young cleared the NBA’s Health and Safety Protocols and was available to play against the Chicago Bulls, tallying 29 points (8-for-23 FGs, 1-for-6 3-pointers) and nine assists in 40 minutes. He nailed all 12 of his free throws in Atlanta’s 130-118 loss to Chicago.

Young missed the team’s three games prior due to the protocols, which were adjusted by the league on Monday. He ranks fourth in the NBA with a 27.3 scoring average and third with 9.3 assists per game, returned two negative tests to be eligible to return. The Hawks went 1-2 without him.
Atlanta began the day tied for 10th in the East and dropped to 15-18, losing their eighth in a row at home. They are now 12th in the Eastern Conference.
