Report: Kristaps Porzingis unlikely to play for Mavericks in 2018-19
The 23-year-old has been out since February 2018 with a torn left ACL.
From NBA Twitter and media reports
Kristaps Porzingis has been traded to Dallas after three-plus seasons in New York, but per a report by ESPN’s Tim MacMahon, the 7-foot-3 big man isn’t expected to return to the court this season as he continues to recover from a torn ACL in his left knee.
This has no impact on the Mavs' hopes and plans of signing Kristaps Porzingis to a long-term deal this summer. https://t.co/pLdoLYINxL

MacMahon further reported that it wouldn’t affect the Mavericks’ attempts to sign Porzingis to a long-term deal. The 23-year-old is set to enter restricted free agency at season’s end.
In 2017-18, prior to the injury, Porzingis averaged 22.7 points, 6.6 rebounds and 2.4 blocks while shooting 43.9% from the field and 39.5% on 4.8 3-point attempts. He had been named an All-Star just before he was injured.
