Hold the phone on Ben Simmons being done for the season.
Coach Brett Brown says that the 76ers will be ready to welcome the No. 1 pick in the 2016 Draft back in the new year.
“It’s not doom and gloom,” Brown told Keith Pompey of the Philadelphia Inquirer on Friday in Miami. “Ben is coming back in January. We are still trying to find information on Jerryd [Bayless]. Jahlil [Okafor] is still trying to touch the court in his first preseason game.”
Simmons suffered a Jones fracture in right foot on Sept. 30, the final day of training camp.
