Nuggets' Nikola Jokic (toe) misses game vs. Jazz

Denver was without its All-Star center along with Aaron Gordon and DeMarcus Cousins in Wednesday's loss to Utah.

Aaron Gordon and Nikola Jokic will not play Wednesday night against the Jazz.

Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic did not play in Wednesday’s 108-104 loss to the Utah Jazz due to soreness in his right toe. Per the team, the Nuggets were also without forward Aaron Gordon (hamstring) and big man DeMarcus Cousins (foot).

Jokic was named the NBA’s Western Conference Player of the Month for games played in January, averaging 26.6 points, 13.2 rebounds and 9.0 assists in the Nuggets’ 16 games played during the month.

The Jazz snapped their 5-game losing streak, despite being shorthanded without star guard Donovan Mitchell (concussion protocols), center Rudy Gobert (calf strain) and Joe Ingles, who suffered a season-ending injury in Utah’s matchup against Minnesota on Jan. 30.
