Heat coach Erik Spoelstra drew up a fullcourt inbounds play off a backscreen to get Nikola Jović a layup plus the foul! The 21-year-old finished with 15 points and seven rebounds. Tyler Herro’s 26 points (9-15 FGs) led Miami in scoring Sunday.

Jović sank the free throw and Minnesota failed to answer in the final seconds, yielding a 95-94 Miami win.


Nikola Jokić logs superhuman triple-double, Michael Porter Jr. hits game-winner

Nikola Jokić (37 points, 18 rebounds, 15 assists) and Kyrie Irving (43 points) went back-and-forth exchanging tough buckets down the stretch, but it was Michael Porter who stepped into the midrange and hit a floater to secure Denver’s 122-120 victory. Denver completes their homestand with a 5-0 record.

Jokić’s inside-out basketball picked apart Dallas, and his individual dominance on the boards helped secure a 53-46 rebounding advantage for the Nuggets. Jokić is averaging 29.5 points, 15.8 rebounds, 14.5 assists, 2.0 steals and 1.0 blocks while shooting 56.6% from the field across his last four games.

In Jokić’s 4-game triple double streak he has totaled 118 points, 63 rebounds and 58 assists. He is the first player in NBA history to put up at least these numbers in any 4-game span.


🚨LAMELO BALL FORCES OT🚨

LaMelo Ball drains a fadeaway 3 in the corner to tie the game at 97 apiece with 8 seconds remaining! After Paul George’s stepback misses at the regulation buzzer, it’s on to overtime.

Ball’s balance as a shooter is remarkable. He has poured in 33 points (12-26 FGs, 6-15 3PM, 3-4 FT) and eight assists. Brandon Miller has 22 points, and Charlotte’s bench unit assembled a 21-10 run to start the fourth quarter and catalyze a double-digit comeback.


Back-to-back triple-doubles for LeBron James

James finished with 19 points, 10 rebounds and 16 assists as the Lakers combined for just five total turnovers  en route to a 123-103 victory over Toronto. The previous oldest player to record back-to-back triple doubles was James in his age-36 campaign.

Austin Reaves rained in 27 points (10-17 FGs, 3-9 3PM, 4-5 FT) to go along with six assists and zero turnovers. Anthony Davis logged 22 points (6-8 FG, 2-2 3PM, 8-10 FT), but he exited in the third quarter after getting poked in the eye.


Kings hold off Suns in OT

DeMar DeRozan’s game-high 34 points (14-25 FGs, 1-1 3PM, 5-6 FT) anchored Sacramento’s offense and fueled clutch time. DeRozan scored 24 of his points in the fourth quarter and onward 👑👑👑

De’Aaron Fox (21 points, 11 rebounds, eight assists, zero turnovers), Domantas Sabonis (20 points, 12 rebounds) and Kevin Huerter (17 points) followed as leading contributors for the Kings.


Grizzlies thrive in Portland

Jaren Jackson led Memphis with 20 points (6-12 FGs, 3-7 3PM, 5-6 FT) while seven Grizzlies posted double-digit scoring on a night when the team shot a blistering 55.3% from the field. Santi Aldama continued his versatile start to the season with 16 points, six rebounds and six assists.

Memphis had five players record multiple steals Sunday.


Kyrie Irving sensational, Dallas falls short

Irving’s 3-point shot and elbow jumpers were automatic en route to 43 points (17-22 FG, 6-8 3PM, 3-3 FT). Sunday marks Irving’s fifth 40-point game since the start of last season, as well as his his 15th game with at least five made 3s over that span.

Irving’s jumper is booming, hitting 58.8% of his catch-and-shoot threes and ranking in the 89th percentile for off-the-dribble jumper efficiency.


Vintage Stephen Curry sighting

Stephen Curry racked up 36 points (13-23 FGs, 7-13 3PM, 3-4 FT), five rebounds, seven assists, one steal and one block in Golden State’s 127-116 win over Oklahoma City. Curry has only suited up for seven games this season, but Sunday marked his first contest hitting 5-plus 3s — a feat he accomplished on 39 occasions last year.

Draymond Green notched a season-high 11 assists. De’Anthony Melton (19 points, 10 rebounds) logged the fourth double-double of his career. Jonathan Kuminga (21 points) passed the 20-point threshold for the third time across 10 appearances this season.

Both teams move to 8-2. Chet Holmgren was forced to exit in the first quarter due to a hip injury.


76ers get first win at home

Paul George led the starting unit with 15 points (6-18 FGs, 1-9 3PM, 2-2 FT), but the bench was responsible for 58 points in what was a 107-105 overtime victory for the 76ers. George played a season-high 33 minutes. Rookie Jared McCain headlined the second unit and led Philadelphia with 27 points (10-18 FGs, 3-8 3PM, 4-4 FT).

For Charlotte, LaMelo Ball matched his career high with 38 points for the Hornets. Rookie Tidjane Salune corralled a career-high nine rebounds.

Rookie Jared McCain built on a 18-point performance in Friday’s loss to the Lakers, booming for a career-high 25 points (9-15 FGs, 3-8 3PM, 4-4 FT) in 28 minutes. McCain’s 3-point stroke was a key element of this prospect profile. He buried 41.1% of 5.8 threes per game at Duke but was converting just 33.3 percent of 2.6 threes per game as a pro prior to Sunday’s strong outing.


Denver and Dallas dueling

Kyrie Irving leads all scorers with 16 points (6-8 FGs, 1-1 3PM, 3-3 FT), while the Mavericks own a 42-26 advantage in paint points. Denver is keeping it close despite being outscored by nine in the second quarter. Luca Dončić has delivered 12 points (4-8 FGs), five rebounds and six assists in 19 minutes.

Nicole Jokić has 14 points (6-9 FGs, 2-2 3PM) , five rebounds and seven assists, trailing only Michael Porter’s 15 points for the team lead. Denver has connected on 46.7% of 15 3-point attempts.

Stephen Curry’s 28 points (11-19 FGs, 5-9 3PM, 1-2 FT) propelled a 42-point quarter for Golden State, doubling up Oklahoma City’s 21.

The Thunder have opened the fourth quarter on an 11-0 run, but they still trail 107-90 and are playing without Chet Holmgren after an in-game hip injury.


Early Sabonis triple-double watch🚨

Sacramento gets out to a 36-31 lead at the end of the first quarter — a frame which featured 12 lead changes in a back-and-forth affair. Domantas Sabonis is stuffing the box score, racking up a game-high 10 points, seven rebounds and four assists in 12 minutes.

Sabonis has a history of cooking versus Phoenix. He averages 18.5 ppg vs. Phoenix in his career, which represents his third-highest mark against all opponents.


Leading balanced attack

Kuminga’s 14 points (6-8 FGs, 2-3 3PM) leads Golden State offensively, with Stephen Curry, Andrew Wiggins and De’Anthony Melton all logging 11-plus points as well. Golden State’s offense caught fire; they buried half of their 26 3-point attempts

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander matches Kuminga for the game-high scoring total of 14 points.


Shouldering offense Sunday

Wagner has a game-high 23 points (9-20 FGs, 1-5 3PM, 4-4 FT) along with four rebounds, seven assists, one steal and zero turnovers as Orlando owns a 91-72 lead over Washington entering the fourth quarter.

Jordan Poole and Bilal Coulibaly lead Washington’s scoring, posting 19 and 18 points, respectively, while rookie Kyshawn George’s 14 points makes him the only other Wizard in double-digits.


Pacers win: Bennedict Mathurin career-high 38 points

Mathurin erupted for 38 points (13-18 FGs, 7-9 3PM, 5-6 FT), eight rebounds, two assists and one block in 41 minutes of action during Indiana’s 132-121 victory over the Knicks — surpassing his previous high-water marks of 34 points and six 3PM.

Mathurin was part of a clean performance from Indiana, as the Pacers posted just six turnovers in Sunday’s victory. He grades as one of the league’s top transition performers as well, ranking the 66th percentile for frequency and 92nd percentile for efficiency, with his efficiency representing a sizable improvement from last year.

Tyrese Haliburton co-starred, logging his first 30-point game of the season with a 35-point, 14-assist double-double. He also earned 11 free-throw attempts, which bodes well for settling back into form as an All-Star caliber multi-level scorer. He and Mathurin become the first duo in Pacers’ history to each record 35-plus points in a game.


BILAL COULIBALY COMING THROUGH 🚂🚂

Coulibaly gets into his bag then drives with conviction for a strong lefty slam. The 20-year-old enters Sunday’s contest having knocked down 76.5% of 34 shots at the rim this season, ranking in the 92nd percentile league-wide.


Tatum fuels Boston comeback

Boston outscored Milwaukee by 17 points in the second half to secure a 113-107 win despite Giannis Antetokounmpo racking up 43 points, 13 rebounds, five assists and two blocks. Bobby Portis was second in scoring for Milwaukee with 15 points.

Jayson Tatum, who scored 30-plus for a third straight game, was one of five Celtics to score at least 14 points against the Bucks.


Bennedict Mathurin📈📈📈

Mathurin has climbed to 19 points (6-8 FG, 5-6 3PM, 2-2 FT) along with four rebounds and one assist in 14 minutes of action as Indiana trails New York 48-43 with four minutes remaining in the second quarter. Mathurin entered Sunday’s contest averaging 21.4 points, 8.2 rebounds and 2.6 assists on 50.0% shooting across his last five games.


Celtics and Bucks going toe-to-toe

Giannis Antetokounmpo leads all scorers with 30 points (13-21 FG), while a balanced attack from Boston is headed by Jayson Tatum’s 19 points, Payton Pritchard’s 17 points, and double-digit efforts from Jaylen Brown, Jrue Holiday and Derrick White.

Entering the final frame with a 87-84 lead, Boston has connected on 16 of 43 3-point attempts through three quarters, while Milwaukee has posted 11-for-27 shooting from deep.


JALEN GREEN GOOD AFTERNOON

Jalen Green punishes the rim off an Amen Thompson steal — representing another poster slam for the 22-year-old as well as a clutch bucket with Houston currently holding a 87-86 lead over Detroit with six minutes remaining in the fourth quarter.
