Las Vegas Summer League: Garza, Lee spark Pistons past Magic

Luka Garza scored a game-high 21 points to lead the Detroit Pistons to a 79-78 win against the Orlando Magic in the MGM Resorts Summer League on Monday at Thomas & Mack Center.
Trailing by four entering the fourth quarter, the Magic trimmed the deficit to one point early in the fourth only to see the Pistons quickly reclaim a 12-point lead with six minutes remaining. The Magic rallied, though, outscoring the Pistons 19-8 the rest of way but could never get over the hump as the Pistons held on.
Garza hauled in 15 rebounds in 26 minutes as he led the way for the Pistons. Saben Lee followed up with 19 points and eight assists, while Jamorko Pickett chipped in 14 points, six rebounds, two assists and a block.
Hassani Gravett led the Magic with 19 points and four rebounds. Ignas Brazdeikis followed up with 13 points, four rebounds, two assists and a steal, while Janis Timma chipped in 10 points and three rebounds.
