Charles Jones wasn't a stat-collecting maven for Houston, but he served a crucial role on the 1995 title team.
"Clutch City" will air at 9 p.m. ET Monday, June 8, on NBA TV. Produced by the Sports Emmy Award-winning NBA TV Originals, "Clutch City" examines the Houston Rockets' 1993-94 and 1994-95 NBA Championship teams.
These are the then-and-now stories of some of the standout players from those teams:
Name: Charles Jones
Stats in 1994-95 season: 1.0 ppg, 0.0 apg, 2.3 rpg, 0.0 spg
His part in Clutch City: The youngest of the four Jones brothers -- Caldwell, Wil and Major -- to play in the NBA, he signed with the Rockets as a free agent for the last three games of the 1994-95 season. From there, he became a regular backup at power forward and center, playing in 19 of 22 playoff games and giving Hakeem Olajuwon valuable rest. He had virtually no offensive game, but was a good position defender and occasional shot-blocker.
After Clutch City: Retired and living in Baltimore, Md.
