Nets Win in Preseason Action vs. Pistons

The Nets' starting lineup of Shane Larkin, Wayne Ellington, Rondae-Hollis Jefferson, Thaddeus Young and Brook Lopez got things going for the squad in Thursday night's 93-83 win in Detroit.

And with a handful of injuries and scheduled rest days for the Nets roster, this was a chance for some fresh faces to step up -- spoiler alert, they did.

Larkin and Lopez came up big for the Nets, each with 17 points to end the night -- Lopez with a solid 9 rebounds in just over 27 minutes of play.

Proven sharp-shooter, Ellington put up an additional 16 points for Brooklyn, matching the 16 he scored in his Nets debut this past Monday. Needless to say, this guy's going to be fun to watch.

Other stand-outs included Justin Harper (11 points, 3 rebounds), Donald Sloan (9 points, 7 assists) and Thaddeus Young (8 points, 4 rebounds) -- not to mention Chris Daniels, the Nets' 31 year-old rookie who sunk a pair of 3-pointers in the fourth quarter.
