Top NBA Player Prop Odds & Picks for Friday, May 6 (2022)

It’s Friday! The NBA Playoffs are back after a one-day hiatus.

The Miami Heat take on the Philadelphia 76ers looking for their third consecutive win against the 76ers with Joel Embiid still listed as out.  Meanwhile, the Phoenix Suns will look to also go 3-0 against the Mavericks on the road.

A lot is going on tonight. Here are our favorite player props for the two NBA games on May 6.

76ers vs. Heat: Tyrese Maxey Over 29.5 Points, Rebounds, Assists

Tyrese Maxey didn’t do much outside of scoring in the first two games of this series. He’s averaging 26.5 points per game with just 1.5 assists and 1.5 rebounds per game. If the 76ers are going to compete against the Heat tonight, Maxey has to do the little things more effectively.

Maxey averaged 4.3 assists and 3.2 rebounds per game in the regular season. But with Embiid out, all he’s doing is scoring. Either way, Maxey will have to make an adjustment and do more to help this team win at home. The scoring will be there, and he’ll also get over 40 minutes in this game.

Expect more out of Maxey when it comes to rebounding and assisting.

Bet: Tyrese Maxey Over 29.5 Points, Rebounds, Assists (-120 at FanDuel)

76ers vs. Heat: Max Strus Over 2.5 Three-pointers

Max Strus’ number came down after only hitting three threes in Game 2. Through two games against the 76ers, Strus has taken 6.5 threes per game and has only hit two per game. That’s a 32.2% average, way below his average. For whatever reason, Strus shot 42.6% from deep on the road and just 39.5% from deep at home during the regular season.

Therefore, I’m confident that Strus will find his stroke. The volume will be there. Three should fall pretty regularly if he’s taking six or seven threes per game. I know Strus also has a hamstring injury. He’s currently listed as questionable, but I’d be shocked if he didn’t play and start for the Heat tonight.

Bet: Max Strus Over 2.5 Three-pointers (-148 at FanDuel)

Mavericks vs. Suns: Reggie Bullock Over 2.5 Three-pointers

The Mavericks don’t have that much depth in comparison to the Suns. Sure, the Mavericks have notable players coming off the bench, but overall, production is inconsistent.

However, Reggie Bullock is one of the few that stays consistent for the Mavericks. That’s also why he starts. Bullock averages 35 minutes per game in this series against the Suns and has taken 15 three-point attempts in two games while knocking down just under 40% of shots. He’s coming off a performance where he dropped four threes on eight attempts in Game 2.

In the previous series against the Jazz, Bullock hit at least three threes in every game but one. In the other game, he nailed two. I’m confident in the sharpshooter.

Bet: Reggie Bullock Over 2.5 Three-pointers (+100 at FanDuel)
