The Pels started off December red hot with five straight victories including back-to-back wins over the Phoenix Suns, but have since lost four straight. Those losses did come against good teams, however, most recently to the Bucks on Monday evening. To make things worse, New Orleans will be without Zion Williamson in this tilt, as he’s in COVID-19 protocols.
Despite the losing steak and Williamson on the shelf, I still like the Pels in this one. They currently sit sixth in both offensive and defensive efficiency and are third in points scored this season with 117.3 (120.7 in their last three games). Jonas Valanciunas and CJ McCollum can carry this team above a Spurs unit they’ve dominated twice so far in 2022.
