According to the Cleveland Clinic, a Lisfranc injury is a form of broken foot. It highlights that some people have to wait a year to return to an activity like running, and many occurrences of this injury require surgery.
Holmgren is clearly dealing with a serious injury, which is unfortunate news for him, Thunder fans, and those who expected a big year from the rookie.
He was listed around +700 across various sportsbooks to win NBA Rookie of the Year — No. 1 overall pick, Paolo Banchero, is now the favorite at +200 at multiple books — and he had a solid Summer League campaign earlier this summer.

Holmgren notched a 14 points, 8.4 rebounds, 2 steals and 2.8 blocks average in his Summer League games. He was also an impressive 42% from 3-point range.
The unicorn big man had some great moments, including a 23-point, six-block opener, but he also showed some weaknesses against other big men.
It would have been fascinating to see how quickly Holmgren could have made an impact in the association, but we’ll have to wait until next year to find that out.
The Thunder are listed at +70000 to secure an NBA title this season with an over/under on regular season wins of 23.5. PointsBet has already started paying out under bets on the Thunder’s season win total.
