Bam Adebayo has been one of the few consistent performers for the underperforming Heat this season. Averaging what would be a career-high 20.9 points per game, the Miami center has been a force on both ends of the court.

Breaking down his box scores, Adebayo has picked up his production of late, clearing this line in 10 of his last 14 games. He’s been terrific on the road this season as well, scoring at least 20 points in eight of 13 games.

In December, Adebayo is averaging a combined 16.5 elbow and paint touches per game, which is the fourth-highest in the NBA (trailing only Joel Embiid, Domantas Sabonis, and his matchup tonight, Nikola Jokic). Prior to December, Adebayo was only seeing 13.1 interior touches per game.

And tonight, Adebayo will have his hands full on the defensive end with Jokic, but offensively, he should thrive. The Nuggets interior defense is subpar, allowing the eighth-most baskets at the rim, at the third-highest field goal percentage. The Kentucky product should feast inside against the less athletic Jokic.

In what is sure to be an intriguing matchup between two of the game’s best big men, I’m projecting Adebayo at 23 points.

Pick: Bam Adebayo Over 19.5 Points (-118 | Play to -130)
