The Celtics continue their six-game road trip in Los Angeles tonight, looking to bounce back after failing to redeem their NBA Finals defeat at the hands of the Golden State Warriors on Saturday night. Zooming out, though, Boston remains the league’s best team, winning eight of the past 10 and 17 of their past 20 contests.

Celtics vs. Clippers Best Bets
Celtics -3.5 (-112, FanDuel)
The Clippers return home after splitting their four-game road trip with a 2-2 record. Los Angeles is now 15-13 on the season, clearly short of once again lofty preseason expectations that’ll always be difficult to meet when they can’t consistently roll out the same 8-10 players every night. Rotations are inconsistent, and roles are hard to define, and this mediocre performance year-to-date is the result of that.
A glance at the Clippers’ schedule to date shows a clear trend. Outside of an early November win against the Cavaliers, the Clippers have feasted against the NBA’s bottom tier. In addition, they’ve played the easiest schedule in the league, making their 15-13 record even less impressive than at first glance. Kawhi Leonard and Paul George have the size to matchup with Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown, but Boston’s depth, even without Al Horford, should be enough here. This is trending towards Boston -4, so get the -3.5 before it’s gone.

Celtics vs. Clippers Game Total Under 224.5 (-110, FanDuel)
Despite the Celtics’ historically good offense through the first two months of the season, I lean under in this spot. Boston games after actually come in under in four straight games, and the Clippers have scored and defended better on the road this season compared to how they’ve played at home.
Risk: 1.1 units on FanDuel to win 1 unit. (Playable to -115)
