Ranking NBA’s Top 10 Point Guards for 2021-22 Season
#9 Ja Morant
Morant had somewhat of a strange sophomore season in that he was quite erratic. On opening night, he erupted for 44 points. It wasn’t until March 2, granted he did miss eight games in that span due to a sprained ankle, that he eclipsed the 30-point mark again. He had a brilliant stretch from April 19 to April 26 in which he scored over 20 in all five of those contests, including more than 30 twice, but he scored 10 or fewer in three of his subsequent four games. His spectacular play, though, in Memphis’ two play-in games and in the Grizzlies’ first round playoff series against the Jazz was encouraging. The question is: was that an introduction to even greater success or will his career be filled with ups and downs?
