Ranking Top 10 Duos in NBA History
#9 Karl Malone and John Stockton
Nobody ran the pick-and-roll better than Stockton and Malone, Utah’s incredibly talented duo. Although they fell short of winning an NBA championship – losing in the Finals twice to Michael Jordan’s Bulls in the late 90s – these two had the Jazz in title contention for several straight years. One of their shining moments together came in Game 6 of the 1997 Western Conference Finals when Malone posted 24 points and 11 rebounds and Stockton, who drilled the game-winning 3-pointer, had 25 points and 13 assists to finish off the Rockets and advance to the Finals. A few years earlier, they were named co-MVPs of the All-Star Game when it took place in Salt Lake City.
