Ranking 10 Greatest Florida-Born Players in NBA History
#5 Mitch Richmond
Long before Golden State’s current “Big Three” (or “Big Four”), the Warriors featured one of the NBA’s most compelling star-studded trios the game has ever seen. So electrifying, they had a cool nickname that accorded with their energetic style of play. Dubbed “Run TMC,” Tim Hardaway, Richmond and Chris Mullin would have fit in perfectly in today’s game. After a two-year run together, Richmond, who was born in Deerfield Beach and played at Boyd Anderson High School in Lauderdale Lakes, was traded to Sacramento where he evolved into a perennial All-Star. He was named the All-Star Game MVP in 1995.
